Me hear Pikeville AD contact surrounding schools asking permission for other schools players participate in Pikeville Open Gym before end of school year. Wonder how this different than recruiting?

Smoke signals point to phone. Elders of tribe indicate calls could be part of open records request if coming from cell phone.

Chief said NO to many things concerning tribe. More at issue than permission asking. Chief found interesting link on google.

Excerpt: In addition, Graves County boys’ basketball assistant coach Lyndon Dunning was found to be in violation of Bylaw 16 for impermissible contact with the family of a student-athlete at another member school (Hickman County) [COLOR="Red"]regarding the open gym activities.

I see nothing wrong with open gyms as long as the proper parties follow the rules. I can remember open gyms with Jenkins WAY back in the day. No one transferred over it, and both sides benefitted from the drills and coaching.

And I find it hilarious that an East Ridge basketball fan is banging the drums over "recruits". Pot, meet kettle. Lol

PHSForever, 3 things for you:
1. TheChief obviously doesn't know the KHSAA Bylaws about Open gym and schools getting permission from the other school if a player wants to come to their open gym. Booher doing it the correct way unlike most schools who just take who ever shows up to their open gyms. They are the ones violating the bylaws.
2. TheChief is obviously has something out for Booher and Justice. (jealousy or nervous of success I assume) Look at how many post he has worried about who Pikeville will hire. Or TheChief has a man crush on one of the two, laugh out loud.
3. TheChief is not an East Ridge Fan. Ironic TheChief account was activated the same week Hicks was hired at Shelby Valley. You make the conclusion on who TheChief is.

Gonna be difficult to take anything you say serious when you posted and drooled over a shitless pic of Elisha in his hiring thread. Wouldn't be throwing the term man crush around on anybody else with a post like that.

Tell me one principal in Pike County who will give Pikeville High School permission to "coach" their student-athletes?
Kevin Justice and Randy McCoy......? No
Greg Napier and Jim Bob Hicks......? No
Mark Gannon and Philip Haywood.....? No
David Rowe may be the only one who wouldn't care....Still doubt it though
I don't know who is in charge of Phelps, but Pikeville and Belfry have been raiding them for years.

Open Records Request would only apply if it is a school phone. If calls were made on a coach's private phone open records would not apply.

From the "facts" presented in the original post, an attempt to contact the school seeking permission for participation in an open gym was made allegedly. According to the KHSAA bylaws presented, permission to participate in an open gym must be granted by the proper designated person from a school. So where exactly was the "attempt to break the rule"? It actually sounds as if the facts presented actually support the conclusion that the rule was followed.

Me not being silent. Been hunting buffalo. New smoke signals indicate possible violation of Case BYLAW 16-6.
Impermissible contact includes but is not limited to any contact between a parent or student and a member school coach or other athletic representative without an immediate referral to the appropriate school personnel (Principal, Guidance Counselor, Admissions Personnel or other non-athletically related school administration).

Pikeville fans seeming awful defensive about something they claim isn't a big deal. I don't think anyone fears Justice or Pikeville, but what many people may see coming is a mass amount of transfers coming into Pikeville and nothing being done about it as usual. Pikeville has made a good living off of transfers and because of their connections nothing can be done about it.

Pikeville is an academic school. I would not lose a "wink" of sleep worrying about their basketball program.
