The Rock needs to be more physical maybe play some less talented mean kids over talented nice ones .. But the rock has yet to establish an identity. Coaches are working hard kids are working hard still think we play to many kids both ways but the record isnt from lack of work my hats off to all involved

Russell is absolutely awful. Like, I think they could be one of the worst teams in the state. Easily the worst in 4A.

Calling a team awful and stuff just renember these are kids not grown ups that you are calling awful.. Maybe the record is bad but is that worth calling kids awful

I don't really think anyone is trying to be mean towards the kids on the team. I know I wasn't.
Most people are just giving an honest assessment. Russell doesn't have the weapons to compete with anyone, and it doesn't really look like they will for the next few years.
Sharp maybe should have gone out on top after his 2 fantastic seasons a few years ago.

It has very little to do with Fruit of the Loom closing. The locals have seen this football drought coming for awhile, with or without the economy issue. Not much focus on the feeder systems is the biggest problem. Rockcastle will have no problem with this one. 42-6, running clock.

Russell County is young an inexperienced right now but will return most of their team next year. The JV and freshmen teams are playing solid football. The JV team is 5-1 and is the number 1 seed in their conference going into their conference playoffs. Every rural school has ups and downs - it will take some time but their is a solid plan in place to make the Lakers a great football team again. It will take some patience. There is good a plan in place and lot of hard work going on to make sure Russell County gets back to competitive football!!!
As far as this game goes Rock is big, physical and coached well. the focus for the Lakers is to play at the best of thier ability and leave nothing in the tank and see what happens against a good football team!!
