Austin Robinson took at shot at the buzzer from 3 point land for the win in ot but couldnt connect. Russell led this game all the way through just about. Had they shot their free throws better they would have won this game in regulation before hoose fouled out in ot.

Russell proves they are not just a football school with this game.. Mason was listed as 2nd in the state and the Devils held them ,was ahead and lost the game on the final shot at the buzzer.. I bet alot more people will be looking at Russell now even after this loss. Great Job Devils,, you impress me....... And I dont like basketball ......

You cant say Russell is a good team because they ALMOST beat Mason, U can say all u want that Mason is 2nd in State but anyone that watches Basketball sees that there not that good...Tates Creek and Bryan Station is alot better than Mason

Once again, you are showing that you don't really understand what a good basketball team is all about. Russell has good three point shooters, good size, play good agressive defense, and control the tempo of the games they play in. They won't out athlete the upper teams in the state but they can compete. They are #38 in the first likenhouse rankings and have beat Boone Co pretty easily who is ranked higher. They are tough, scrappy, and tough minded. I think you may have an opinion that if a team can't out athlete EVERY team they play they are not good. That's incorrect and that's what makes basketball such a great game.
