Post 9 Loses Second Trooper in a Week

A Kentucky State Police trooper was found dead in his eastern Kentucky home Monday afternoon, but no foul play is suspected, authorities said.

Detective Stewart "Joey" Howard, 45, was found unresponsive in his home in the Regina community of Pike County at 1:55 p.m. EST Monday, KSP said in statement. Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts pronounced Howard dead at the scene.

UNBELIEVABLE...Thoughts and Prayers go out to his family and friends! My brother had to stand guard at the funeral the other day. He said it was the most unbelievable thing that he had ever witnessed and has never seen so much tribute and respect payed to a man who deserved it for serving and watching over us!

This is UNBELIEVEABLE!!! I can't imagine what his co-workers and family alike are going through right now. God Bless them and I pray for their peace with all they have had to endure!! God rest both Joey and Jonathon's souls....
