Really interested in seeing the GC defense against the LC offense next week.

I don't see Greenup scoring 14 points, but I'm also not sure that Lawrence will hang 49 on the Greenup defense.

The Mousketeers will eventually get somebody. Don't overlook them.

I don't see greenup being able to shut down the dawgs. To many weapons in the stable. Lc 24 gc 7

I have not watched Lawrence County play; however, I did watch the Montgomery County and GRC game last night.
Montgomery County defeated Lawrence County 28-14 earlier in the season so I have a good idea what Lawrence County has this season.
I have also watched Greenup County live and online.
My gut tells me that Greenup County wins this game over Lawrence County by a score of 20-14 because the game is at Greenup County and the Musketeers are a different team at Lloyd.

Greenup is much improved, but they ain't seen an offense like the one their about to get Friday. This Bulldog offense has more speed and athleticism then any team the Musketeers has seen all season. Like I said if Timmy Dalton don't play it could be closer but if he does then they have to contend with Timmy on one side and with Robert Dalton on the other side. That is two of the fastest kids in the mountains on the the same offense. People wont be able to key on Timmy anymore. Add in to the fact that our run game is much improved this season with a huge offensive line and our defense is also much better then last season. This Lawrence County team is about to explode when they get everyone healthy and everyone can feel it coming.

I would not put to much into that score. We had that game 14-14 at the half but we had a bunch of injuries in that game and some of those injuries were to key players. We also got rushing yards at will on Montgomery and this was the game that Timmy Dalton got injured in and we didn't have Robert Dalton playing in this one either.

I got to go with Lawrence County in this one. :ChairHit:

So does anyone know if Timmy is going to play in this one? What I do know is the Dr wanted him to sit out for about 3 weeks. Does that mean three weeks of games or three weeks consecutive. He went down in the Montgomery game so he sat out a full week leading up to the Fairview game then a full week leading up to the Powell game then he can sit out a full week leading up to this game.
I think he plays this Friday.

If both Daltons are healthy and able to play, how do you play them? One on defense and the other on offense or do you line them up on opposite sides of the field in a spread option attack?

I would have both on the field at the same time on offense as much as possible. That is a huge match up nightmare for any defensive secondary you will find IMO.

Timmy will not be back till raceland game. I do not think greenup has the secondary speed to stop lc, I do think it will be tough yards on the ground, mosley is back to about 90 percent, keesee is back to about 90 percent. I did notice last night that keesee has some of his speed back and out run the pitch from kiser a couple of times those two will need to get their timing back. 4 or 5 plays last night lc ran a 4 reciver formatiom that produce good yardage. Greenup will not be able to losd the box on lc, if they do it will get ugly early.
Don't see greenup putting up many points on lc, when it gets crunch time lc brings in the big dawgs and shuts the run down they must have had 3 or 4 4th and 1 last and stop the each time.

That sucks I was hoping Timmy would be back. I have seen Keesee out run his blocking a few times also lol. That kid is always in a big hurry to get somewhere lol.

Do you know this for a fact or is this what they are saying to this point? Its 6 full days till game time and a lot can change in that time. I wouldn't be shocked if he gives it a go Friday. I think he is chomping at the bit to get out there with his brother.

Greenup County has enough speed to cover one of the Dalton's.
Greenup County will win this game at Lloyd.

Believe what you want but, I ain't seen a defense that can cover even one Dalton and that includes Belfry who couldn't contain Timmy Dalton in either game last season and that is as good of a defense as you will find in this area.
If you are trying to judge what the Bulldogs have by watching Montgomery play you will be shocked after Friday night.

One thing I was really happy to see was the ability of LC to spread the ball around through the air and be effective with it. Coach Short keeps everyone involved and balanced and I have complete faith in him as a play-caller. I must add that I am also glad to see that when its 4th and long from inside the 30 going in, that we have a kicker to put out there with a chance at 3 points.

That is a very good weapon to have.

#1#11#10 #17 #24#3 11 is a jr 10 is a so the rest are sr these are all very good receivers and good runners so that 6 guys that can catch and 6 that can run #2#42#5#8#16 all sr#34 jr #16 is so.pick your poison their Oline is a beast at run blocking and pass blocking Double team any of these guys and the other one will get you this offense will not get tired defense is getting better each week coaches are working all the fast def line we've got a big def line but they what the guys to play on one sided of the ball as much as they can.they going to get better each week can't wait

I still think your selling both Montgomery and GRC a little short. Montgomery has a very good defense and if they get that offense clicking they will be tough. Yes GRC is 0-3 but look who they have played to this point and then look at the scores of those games. They played a pretty stout Anderson County team to the wire 26-27 and they had a pretty respectable game against Henry Clay. That Montgomery defense has given up a total of 39 points in 4 games to some teams with some very good speedy athletes. They held Collins to 7 points who has fast athletic kids everywhere held us to 14 held Harrison County to 6 and held GRC who has some athletes of their own to 12. Like I said Lawrence County is good enough to beat Montgomery but a lot of circumstances came into play for us to lose that game like a few lucky bombs down the field and some injuries. I guess we will know a lot more about what the Bulldogs have after Friday night, but I think some people are going to be shocked. It is crow season after all lol.

Just got done watching the film of the Powell game. A few things stood out. This defense is no longer standing and waiting for the ball to come to them. They are attacking and I love that. A lot of talk goes back and forth on BGR about fast kids and 4.3 or even 4.2 speed. I don't know what Robert Dalton can do in the 40 or if he has ever even been timed, but if you want to see real next level speed then come and watch this kid play. When his brother Timmy gets back on the field and we have the Dalton gang in on offense that right there will be worth the price of admission.

Looking at Greenups games to this point, they have no wins on any quality opponents.
Beat 3A Lweis County 35-0 0-3 Very bad and lost all three to bad teams.
Beat 3A Fleming County 25-8 2-2 Very average and played no one to this point.
Lost to 3A Russell 13-19 who has a pretty good defense but are struggling on offense and got smacked by Ashland.
Lost to 1A Raceland 12-6 who just like Russell have a pretty good defense but struggling offensively at times.
Lawrence games to this point.
Beat 4A Boyd County 42-22 like Greenup much improved but Boyd has a better offense IMO 2-1 Greenup and Boyd play and I think that will be a good game.
Beat 1A Fairview 40-14 Fairview 2-2 has a very potent offense with a lot of speed yet this Lawrence varsity defense shut em out and ran the ball at will. They just lost a heart breaker to Maderia OH who I know nothing about. This same Fairview team smacked a Hazard team on both sides of the ball who just beat Somerset.
Beat 3A Powell 37-0 Just like Lewis is very bad. Coach could have named the score in this game but he was trying new things and getting a few new people adjusted to the system and he is not one of those coaches who concerns himself with the score as long as he gets that W. He has had a bunch of chances to run the score up but wont.
Lost to 5A Montgomery 28-14 3-1 who is much improved but everyone is judging way to much from last season. They ain't no great 5A team but they ain't bad either and I can promise you they have a better defense then Greenup, bigger, faster and more depth. The score of this game was deceiving and we were good enough to win it.
Throw all of that in a pot and mix it up and what do you come out with? I think Greenups strong point is the defense but they have yet to go up against a really good offense. They seem to struggle scoring points with their offense. They can get some stops but they will not shut this bulldog offense down.
Lawrence countys strong point is their offense. This offense is loaded with speed and talent at just about every position. The Lawrence County defense is getting better every game and they are pretty good at stopping the run or pass. We pretty much shut down a very good QB receiver combination in Fairview with Alex Roy and Antwan Washington. If Greenup can't score and score quick they will not be able to keep up with the Bulldogs on the scoreboard. Their defense will be tested all over the field in this game. That is my breakdown of this game and I will post some more later on in the week.

If you will look there is a #2 in there and I think drandon has played great this year, had another td last night, his defense has really picked up I thought his play on defense against fairview was the game changer he just shut down washington and that screen pass game Fairview loves to run.
