Lawrence County's Eric Salyers goes the distance as lc gets the district win 16 to 5 in 5 innings. Lc scores 4 in the 1st, 1 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th, and 10 in the 5th. Belfry gets 2 in the 2nd and 3 in 5th. Belfrys K. Taylor pitches into the 5th and then the wheels just fall off for belfry's pitching staff. They throw 4 or 5 pitchers in the 5th and just could not get an out. Lc sends 15 or 16 batters to the plate in the 5th. Belfry had controll problems all night must have walked 7 or 8 and hit another 4 or 5 batters on the night. Hard to tell how these two teams really stack up against each other by this game, I would have to say that this was just a by night for Belfry's pitching staff and not as much a dominant performance by lc as the score would indicate.
