Another great game tonight by both teams. Congrats to JC and good luck at RUPP. JC shot lights out tonight and LC shot probably 30%.

Congrats to JC and Kyle Gullett on 15th region player of year. JC showed they have a lot more than Kyle Gullett tonight. He played hard and made a impact but his shots were rolling out. I'm not sure of the stats but #15 seemed to come up huge everytime LC was making a run. The Blair boys played a very good game and I have to give props to #34. His size was to much for LC and he made them pay. Excellent coaching job from the JC staff. Good luck in the state tournament.

LC just couldn't hit their shots tonight. Credit to JC for some of that. They did a good job closing out. I'm proud of the effort these LC boys put in all season. Congrats on the district title and runner up in region.

Hard played game from start to finish. Congrats JC! LC will be tough to beat next yr!!

LC Players showed good sportsmanship tonight. Something to be very proud of if you are their fans.

JC played at their pace.

They ran when they wanted to....... they slowed it up when they wanted to.
JC played inside out. JC landed body shots and leg kicks early (Yes, that is an MMA reference) in the game. Rebounding and scoring in the paint was what won this game for JC. JC hit some big 3 point shots and you could see the wind leaving the sails.

Lawrence did not quit... but they played from behind from late in the 1st qtr. on, and you could tell they weren't used to being in that situation. They will be a dangerous team next season. If everybody comes back out and sticks with it, Lawrence could be playing on championship Sunday next year.

JC led
17-13 after the 1st.
32-25 at the Half.
52-41 after the 3rd.
67-60 Final.

JC led just enough to make Lawrence have an uphill battle pretty much the entire game. Lawrence didn't lead any in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th qtr.

Like I said earlier, JC played like they had been there before. In the 3rd qtr., JC had some turnovers and missed shots that could have put some serious separation between them and Lawrence. But they didn't panic, stuck to their game plan and finished.

Nice game by jc, blair figure out early that the refs where going to call blocking fouls instead of charging fouls and took advantage of it, very smart on his part. Dont get me wrong I am not saying they were bad calls, I thought the refs called the blocking foul on both ends I thought jc's #22 took some charges that were also called blocking fouls. I don't remember them calling a charge on either end and there must have been 8 or 10 blocking fouls called. Again very smart on blairs part to recognize early how the game would be called, that is a sign of player that knowns and understands how the game is played, was very impressed with not only his physical talent but his mental approach to the game. You don't see that much at the high school level.

Josh Hitchcock and Tyler Pack won this game for JC. LC had chances but could never get over the hump.

Congrats Eagles!!! Great season LC. I think LC will be the favorite next year to win the 15th. To my knowledge they are the only team to return everyone.

Good luck at Rupp Eagles!!! Represent the 15th!!!

I will make an early prediction. From talk at the Expo Center, Lawrence County will not have the same 5 starters next season.

I can remember everyone saying that tommy needed to be fired in 2011, but now after 4 in a row, not many people are saying it now.

I thought the difference in this game compared to the ending in the Sheldon Clark game was leadership and experience. I think Sheldon Clark got really frustrated with the LC pressure and Blair and his team attacked the LC press/pressure and took care of the ball.

Lawrence is a good basketball squad but I'm not sure if they are a good team yet. I notice a couple of times when the came to the bench during timeouts there was a little mouthing between players...nothing real bad, but in a close game that's not a good sign. Experience, especially experience under pressure is a tough learning experience sometimes. I think being in the championship game four times gave the JCHS seniors a little more of a comfort zone.

I think the Pack kid has gotten better every game and if he continues to work through the summer, he could be the go to guy next year. He is strong, seems like a smart player who doesn't try to do things outside his limitations and isn't afraid of contact. Rice also played well last night...as a matter of fact the whole team played well and deserves another try in the BIG DANCE.

It was a great game to watch, both teams played hard, fair and both showed respect for the other. A lot of people think that the JCHS run is over, losing the 15 region POY and the 15th region tournament MVP. Me, I think there are other players that will grow, mature and get stronger before next season rolls around and they will be right in the hunt for their 5th region championship in a row.

Now Eagles...get ready to play in the greatest show on earth, the Kentucky High School Basketball Sweet 16...enjoy the ride!

Congrats JC and I agree with Tiger77. Not enough basketballs in Lawrence from what I heard Tuesday night and that is sad. If they stay together I would say they are the front runners next year.
