Not many time I will pick against clay. :Sad04:
Wayne County 84

Lack of defense will cost Clay but watching Woods, Blevins and Farmer put on a three point show will be well worth the $5.
Wayne Co 88
Clay Co 83
Wayne Co 88
Clay Co 83

Hard to pick against Clay at Home. I'll take Wayne in a barn burner 66-65

Hard game to pick. If Woods guards Farmer, Blake will have a huge night. I think he guards Blake and Stearns(Starnes?) guards Farmer, leaving House or Sexton to have a big night. I'll have to go with Clay by 5 because they have a couple more role players that can step up. Sexton will be the biggest factor, because I believe House will shut down Blevins.

no way a 12th region team wins a close game at Clay. Clay78 Wayne 71

I don't know about this particular contract, but in the past there's been times where the visiting teams regional refs have called games. Vice versa the next year of the two year contract.

Wayne County is a little better offensive team, Clay is a little better defensive team. Wayne County has a big 3, then fall way off at the 4-5 spot. Clay's is solid has a big 2 but is way better at the 3-5 spot. Neither team has much of a bench. I'm a North man but I am pulling for Clay in this one. But in the end I'll take Wayne by 5

I think Smith, Wolfe and Farmer will cancel out Woods, Blevins, and Stearns. And I think House and Sexton will make the differences in this game. If they out perform Waynes 4 and 5 Clay wins. I'll take the Tigers by 3. And last year we had 12th region officials at Wayne. If we have 13th region officials I hope they return the favor back to them.

Wayne Co. 66
Clay Co 58
Hope I'm wrong but Wayne is a very nice team....go 13th region

I took some heat after the Wayne loss last year voicing my opinion on the officials for that game. I will still say it was one of the worst officiated games I had ever been too after Woods went at a referee following a (what should have been) offensive foul on Farmer. The game changed completely after that. These are two really even teams. I want to say the Tigers will bring it at home. Look for a big game by Smith with the game winning basket as well. Like Randy said, Clay's players 3-5 wins this one overall. I hate doing predictions but I have to for this one:
Clay County - 74
Wayne County - 72
Clay County - 74
Wayne County - 72

That's "somewhat" of a low score for these two teams. Are you expecting them to slow it down, poor shooting or for defense to actually be played?

I just think Wayne Co defense will make clay be patient in order to get good shots and stay in the game. ......Wayne will push it at times but they also are ok with backing it out and getting what they want.

I'd bet my paycheck this game is played in the 70's and maybe even the 80's. Fast paced game with alot of 3's and not much defense. If defense gets played Clay wins. Also think clay wins any game in the 60's
02-02-2015, 03:44 AM
You may be correct I was just giving my opinion......if that's the case farmer and house could have huge games with alot of 3 point shots taken...they both can fill it up......that may be in the favor of Wayne co....clay only has those 2 that have proven they can consistently hit the 3....the others won't beat you from there

Two good teams. Two good coaches. Tigers by 6.
02-02-2015, 03:53 AM
Wayne by 12. Lack of depth finally catches up to Clay. Very good first 5 but big drop after those guys.
02-02-2015, 03:59 AM
Last time Wayne County came to Clay it was very ugly......This Clay team is way better than the Clay team 2 years ago.... I'll take Clay by 6 with Smith going off and having a memorable night.

Wayne by 3 and Woods is one of the better shooters in the state.
02-02-2015, 06:50 PM
Clay by 8.Smith will have the assignment of guarding Woods.House and Sexton deserve more credit than what they get.Farmer is a great shooter and can create but loves offense more than defense. If Clay has a great defensive effort, they win this one.

Hopefully Clay gets beat every game they play for all the sorry cheating they did while Bobby Keith was there. Robbing high school teams with crooked refs( which has been proven so no hearsay). Also some of the most arrogant know it all fans in the state. Think basketball was invented in Manchester. Its not the 80's boys.

Someone is a little butt hurt. I figures all those wounds would have healed in the last 15 years.

My school was not even formed in the 80's and if so I doubt you would have beat the Warriors then either, although if the funny business started it would have been hard. Would you care to comment on the emails from the assigning official that was uncovered a few years back?

Hey Lilly, we can be kinda arrogant but were not know it alls... We just love taking guesses. :yikes:
02-03-2015, 03:48 AM
If Farmer is clickin Clay will cover by 6, if not barn burner.

May not have been invented, but it was perfected.

Ever checked to see how many road games and tournaments (not in Manchester) Clay won in the 80's?
You're right, it's not the 80's, but your jealousy is just as evident today as it was back then. It's 2015, move on.

Hey Lily, I'll ask Coach Keith to use a little Ky jelly next time. 25 years later and your still hurting. WOW
