Harlan County played a terrible game last night. That said, it was probably Knox Central who made them play so badly.

KC has an excellent team this year, and I'm going to be excited to see how far they can go!!

Knox Central hit the lottery with the new coach. He is the real deal. I am sure his dad taught him all about basketball, and anyone that knows his dad will agree he knows more about basketball than any coach. Whitley was stupid when he coached there. They let an ignorant parent cause him to leave.

Lets see the football team has won the region adn been to final 4 twice. Basketball has been no where near this and no one complains. Maybe demarcus ware needs to pay attention to all sports.

I agree Panther Nation. I've done some research. Voight has good blood lines and I like his tempo. A state championship and a runnerup not to shabby lol. The big assistant coach Tony Patterson played Division 1 in college and some Professional ball also. he played back in the 80s. Seems he has made a huge difference in the way the Marsee kid is playing. Look out boys here they come. I think they will show well at Rupp. They have the talent, and coaches finally.

Anyone who tries to pit one program against another at a school isn't really a "booster." They are just trying to protect their own interests, not the sports program or the school.

Well well I've never been in a basketball thread before and sure haven't posted in one. Yet the ignorant Booster runs her mouth. That wasnt an insult because she just don't have a clue what she is talking about. You give up in football threads cause everyone has already shown you just how incompetent Larkey is and your knowledge of what appears to be any sport. So what do you do? You run to the basketball thread and start. I don't care for basketball but if HC isn't doing any better than what I've heard since the schools was consolidated then yes they do need a new coach as well. To bad you and people like you enjoy losing in everything and that's the reason HC sports will continue sliding further down the relevance ladder. Like I said before booster with the present coaches, and school Admin HC can hang their hats on district titles in the worst district in the country. Congrats..

I think with Voight and Patterson your going to see the talent that everyone has known Knox has had can really do. Now that they have a real coach who knows basketball.

Harlan co has a tough schedule , they will get better. Another big time early season game coming up against Clay Co next week. Knox and Clay are 1A/1B at this point in the region. Remember a basketball season is more like a marathon not a sprint.

I don't believe I would count this HC team so fast! This was a tough test for them early on the road against a veteran team. Some of HC's key parts are still young and a little immature and the head coach is young also, they will learn from this game and I believe they will bounce back strong. This team will be ok as long as they maintain their confidence and continue to play for each other. A couple of their seniors have got to step up and play smart and lead the team and I believe they will....

You do realize that when Knox played Henry Clay that they were without not only Adams but Barger as well who is their main ball handler and playmaker. And they had the game against Bryan Station who is a better team in Barger's fist game back. Btw Harlan County had a bad game because Knox dictated the tempo. So really it was just good play by Knox. Best team in the region IMO

If it were a closer game the advantage would have favored HC the fouls in the first half was 14 to4 for HC. HC and KC will get much better come feburary .. KC will not face a more altheltic and deeper team in the 13th region as Bryan station.

Tempo reference I do not agree. Both teams want to play fast, HC just did not play defense like is needed against good teams. Have to get stops then tempo can be dictated. Knox is at peak form early, but I believe this HC team has room for improvement. Both teams will be dangerous come late season.
