N.Ky dominance
#1
Not !!!

Some jack leg came on here a few weeks ago tooting the NKy horn and how great and dominant they were this year. Well, one thing you can continue to do and that's grab onto Highlands coattails, like you usually do. NCC and DH were humbled and while Highlands was a heavy favorite, had to make a furious comeback and thank the Red Devils coach for completely getting away from everything that was working in the 1st half, in the 2nd half. NCC and DH had the luxury of being on the weak sides of the bracket or they would have been pushed out of the playoffs 2 or 3 weeks earlier. Hardly even competitive is a better fit than dominant, wouldn't you say?

u got 3 schools within 10 miles of each other playing for state titles, regardless of the outcome, thats pretty damn good.

Look at the population within that 10 mile stretch genius.

They were in the championship games. Where were your boys?

And what does that really mean, "genius"? Look at all the high schools, government and private, in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties. That "huge" population is spread out pretty well among the schools. And, to be honest, any decent football player and his daddy would like to be at FTH, NCC, CovCath, Beechwood, Dixie Heights, Simon Kenton, or one of the other northern schools. Success draws much better than mediocrity.

:dudecomeon:Northern Kentucky has teams playing in 1A, 2A, 4A, 5A, and 6A. They represented the eastern side of the state in 2A, 4A and 6A, and had teams in 1A and 5A that lost in the semi-finals. Just because some troll came on here and got your panties in a wad doesn't make it any less impressive. Dominant? Not really. Pretty sure most on here figured NCC and Dixie were going to need miracles to pull off a win in the finals, and Highlands didn't do too bad with a first year coach.
Just since it was mentioned previously, there are twenty schools in the Campbell/Kenton/Boone county area fielding football teams with an additional six that I can think of who have no football. So, 26 schools spread out in a three county area.

Winning the 1a title and making it 7-0 against your dominant NKy 1a school, along the way. Again, Highlands carries the banner for NKy, as they typically do. DH was fortunate to get put on the opposite side of the bracket as the Super Conference and the other better 6a teams, Scott Co, Meade Co, C.Hardin, McCracken, etc.. Otherwise, they would have been put out in 1st or 2nd round.. Had NCC had to come out of the west, they, too, would have been eliminated in 1st or 2nd round.. NCC was the best of the east, but, around 7th in there class.

Highlands is not the only team carrying the northern Kentucky flag for dominant programs. You drop the best five or six northern ky teams in any class into any part of the state and they will dominate everyone around them. They don't always get the praise they deserve because they're always beating up on each other, but it's the best area in the state top to bottom for football.

Yeah right. Send Beechwood down here to the west. They would finish 3rd in Mayfield's district.

Haven't we already gone down this path SEVERAL times. Put NKY's all-time championships against any other region, what 2nd??? And of the Six Championships decided, three were represented by NKY?

Even hate-spewing, jealous, excuse making, Ray Charles seeing, Non-Educated Sports fans can see that NKY has every right to be proud.

This is not sitting on a high-horse and gloating, this is FACT!

NKy football has done well in classes where Louisville schools are not represented.
