Thoughts and predictions? I'm particularly interested in this game due to the tie breaker between valley and pburg. Just wondering what everyone thinks!

Should be a good one, but I'll have to give the edge to Lawrence since the game is in Louisa.
Prove me wrong Blackcats!

if Shelby Valley gets the first seat then Leslie County will get the second seat won't they where the second tie breaker goes by head to head match.

No, it goes by the points of the opponents you've played. Leslie, unfortunately for them, has played no one. So they have no chance. They will get the 3 seed regardless. There is another thread about this exact situation. Go look at it and it will explain everything.

they was talking about it on the radio before the game started and they said the first tiebreaker will go buy points and the second one went by head to head.

If the dawgs can contain the qb and keep him in the pocket they should be ok but if they let him run around he will make plays and it will be along night in lc. Should be a good game, but you never know in high school sports.

This is a game I look forward to every year when scheduled. It's my fav vs. 2nd fav team. Every time these two play there's a LOT of hard hitting.
I'll for sure be there !!

Lots of Respect for P'burg and they are one of my favorite teams. Always physical and been some good games between these two. I'm hoping LC can pull one out and go into the playoffs on a good note. Wish both teams best of luck and a injury free game.

This could be another game that comes down to LC's defensive line? If they can get momentum from that D-line and make Frasure adjust, then LC has a good chance of winning? If not, Frasure could run it all night. LC has improved a lot over the past few weeks and this would be a great confidence booster going into playoffs.

Must win game for Pburg.
Lose and essentially the odds are you go from having a good shot at the 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs to a 3 seed and having to hit the road all the way to Lexington.
The name of this game will be discipline. Which team can avoid the stupid penalties or the risk that doesn't pay off. Going to be a tough game to win on the road but still think Pburg is the slight favorite.

It IS a must win for Prestonsburg, but they should have at least 3 back from the injury list. I believe the Blackcats will pull this one out by a score

Huh ?!?
1. Even if P-burg loses Friday, it -still- requires Leslie Co. to beat Haysi (and I think another of their point-donating opponents to win Friday, while P-burg's point-donating opponents must all lose) for P-burg to end up as the 3rd seed.
2. Why would they be on the road "all the way to Lexington" for anything ??

If SV wins the tiebreaker then 2nd is determined by head to head the best i remember. In that case SV will be 1st...then Leslie 2nd by way of head to head win over Pburg.Looking it up now for clarity.
LCA is the 2 seed... if Pburg is the 3 seed the Blackcats have to take the show to the shadows of Fayette Mall for the 1st Round.

b) TIE-BREAKER (more than two teams). Should three or more
teams tie for the a district position based upon the win-loss
record, the position shall be determined by the following:
i) If one of the teams has defeated each of the other teams
tied in games contested between them, that team shall be
declared to hold the highest position, and the winner of the
game between the remaining teams (if less than four) shall
be declared the second highest position. In the event of
more than three teams being tied, where one has defeated
each of the tied teams, that team shall be declared the
highest position, and the tie-breaking procedure shall be
re-applied for the remaining tied teams.
ii) If the tie remains, each team tied for the position shall
receive one point for each game won by any four of their
defeated opponents in all games, except for the games
played between any two of the tied teams. All games played
shall be counted in applying the tie-breaking procedure,
including out of state games, with the exception that a
defeated school may be counted only once in the procedure
regardless of the number of games played against that
particular school. Teams awarded forfeit victories (whether
or not a forfeit fee is paid) may count the defeated opponents
of the forfeiting team, provided the game was not replaced
on the schedule.
iii) If the tie remains after application of provision (ii), an
additional defeated opponent’s wins will be added to the
point total for each team until the tie is broken and the
winner of the tied position declared, or until all games are
exhausted.
iv) If the tie for the position involves only three teams, and the
application of (ii) and (iii) results in one team being declared
the winner of the tied position based on point totals, the
highest point total from the application of (ii) and (iii)
between the two remaining
Looks as if I was incorrect... head to head goes out the window in a 3 way tie. Points reign supreme and Pburg is essentially guaranteed at least 2nd.

Nope... 1, 2, and 3 seeds are all determined by the 2nd tiebreaker (among 3 or more teams) which is record of best 4 opponents defeated. Once a 3 way tie is present and one of those teams didn't beat the other two, head-to-head results go out the window.

It's the bold area which applies to determination of the 2nd and 3rd seeds.

Question: how do you guys base your predictions, on? Is it because, you like a team, you don't know the other team,, or you just dislike a team, or what. I'm very serious would relly like to know. May write a book.

I usually base my opinion on how good the team is, if my team stands a chance, and I always pick the team playing against JC!!
