If Sheldon Clark makes a few adjustments and plays a bit closer on the wideouts being one of I'm sure they have a good shot. I would like to see more passes from #2 to #10 those guys are a good combo.

Let's take a good look at this match up. Sheldon Clark is a Class 3A school with a 1-5 record. They have scored 105 points and given up 263. The game is at Ashland. I suspect that Ashland will have its third straight statistic builder. Ashland will win by four or five touchdowns and neither team will benefit from the encounter.
This is the third of Ashland's four week pud run. They beat Rowan County (1-6) and Boyd County (1-6) and, after SC, look forward to Greenup County (2-4). Now before anyone suggests that GC is a step up, keep in mind that Rowan County's one win is over Greenup County.
This is not a good way to prepare for Johnson Central let alone FTH.

Good post. Ashland needs to schedule better if they want to make a run at NKY teams in Nov. I know Boyd, Rowan, and Greenup are district games so nothing can be done, but Ashland gains nothing by playing SC at this point.

Ashland schedule is decent. Next season will be Lex Tate's Creek instead of NCC and East Carter (district game ) instead of Sheldon Clark. Rest is the same. Raceland Russell GW Ironton Boyd Rowan Greenup and Johnson Central.

For those of you talking about beefing up the schedule, Ashland dropped Belfry to pick up Sheldon Clark. Wrong direction!

Weak. East Carter will just add another dud to your district. Look at their record. Even weaker than Sheldon Clark. Tates Creek will be a step down from NCC. They are not remotely Lafayette or Henry Clay. Nor are they NCC.
Your boys will have a much weaker region without the big boys. It will be Johnson Central and nothing else. You won't win anything significant in that climate.

I agree with KyRock, BeastOfTheEast, and Dawgfan123 I believe that Sheldon Clark will pull off the upset by underestimating a "Comeback Kid" QB and his dedicated team. I say Ashland loses the defensive battle in this District game.

I say Ashland loses the defensive battle in this District game. It's not a district game. Can Ashland lose, yes they could but will they lose, not if they play the way they did the last 2 weeks. Ashland should only have 1 loss on the season but due to poor coaching and or play have 3. They win by 4 scores 42-14.

As weak as Sheldon Clark is it may as well be a district game, they fit right in.
