Congratulations on the win Fairview.

Congrats to Fairview. This was a good game to gauge Fairview. They are a pretty good team. Better than most expected. Big measuring stick next week.

Nice win for the Mossy Bottom Boys. Milseat is prolly rockin about now. Either Fviews offense is better than I thought or PCCs secondary is weak against a short/ibternediate pass game.

This is not about who is bad out there, but how good both teams could very well be at the end of the season. Fairview is just a different type of team then in years past, they are very much a passing team, then the big power run teams in the past. There QB the Roy kid is as good of a QB you will see in High school football. He is big, strong and can put the ball anywhere on the field for his team. The Eagles could be a dark horse in the playoffs this year and I would not be surprised if they finished the season with a few more upsets before they got to the post season. PCC had it's up's and downs, but I can to see them make a serious run late in the season as well. It was fun just seeing these two teams play tonight. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

great nite in the WOOD

Great game by the Eagles tonight! Yee Haw! Blake Smith played his heart out along with the rest of them boys. Roy is about as good as it gets at QB position. PCC has a very talented QB as well. By my estimation tonight Roy was 350 plus. We have a lot of improving to do on both ends. If offensive line gets a little better and our defense reads just a little bit better I think we can make a sneaky run into the playoffs. Good luck to all the teams! Tonight was Sweet!

This win comes as a big surprise to me!
Congrats Fairview!
Congrats Fairview!

Those were two very good quarterbacks out there this evening, both threw some very impressive passes. The one towards the end of the first half that went for the 61 yard TD couldn't be thrown better, and PCC not having their defense all the way back on that play didn't help them any at all. Also saw some excellent sportsmanship by Roy too. If he continues to develop from this year to next year like he has so far this season, he has a bright future for sure.

Not having their defense all the way back? What? Roy threw the ball right between two defenders. Great pass and even a better catch.

It was an excellent pass and catch too, but the defenders were not all the way back or they would have been in front, not behind. Now you are saying my compliments are bad too I guess. Man, you are too much. First you don't show and now I am bashing the team by giving them props, wow. Oh yeah, I saw you messaged me again, guess you forgot that part where you don't read my messages and I don't read yours.

Im going to be straight up honest im a central fan but our secondary needs some work but our run defense looks good.there was alot of calls that needed 2 be called that wouldnt who lets a offenseive lineman hold a defenseive an not though a flag even when there pushing em stright into the ground right in front of em
10-03-2014, 07:43 AM
Number 3 and 11 is a great player by the way

It was the first time I got to see either team play this year but what had me really confused was towards the end of the first half when Fairview had that 61 yard touchdown. I couldn't believe that before the ball was snapped that PCC didn't just have two or three guys pretty much starting back at the 10 or 15 yard line in case an Eagle receiver caught the ball and had a great path to the end zone, which pretty much happened on that excellent throw and catch from Roy to Washington (I think that was the receiver's name) that went for a huge score. And I agree, the run defense looked pretty good for the most part, yes sir. PCC has a darn good QB too, some of the throws he made to the sidelines were placed perfectly, both of those guys threw some of the best balls a high school quarterback could ever throw. What grade is the quarterback from PCC in?

12th it sucks we dont get him for 1 more year an yeah i didnt understand y we didnt have any that deep either

That kid is a fine QB, very accurate passer. Won't be too many games this year that two teams will have better quarterbacks than those two. Not many good things came out of the stuff that happened to Fairview's football team, but that new coach coming in with a pass heavy offense was a boom for Roy because now he is throwing more in one game than he probably did in a month before the new staff came in. He is certainly getting to show his skills much more than before, which is at least one bright spot for the program.
10-03-2014, 08:04 AM
Yeah what happened to the couch they had last year?an yea he was a great qb our qb is leading 3a in passing right now
10-03-2014, 08:23 AM
They, Fairview, had some sanctions come down on them and had a new coach come in. He is doing a good job with them too, lost some players to graduation and transfer as well. But they did a complete 180 on their style of play and with the QB they have, it is really for the better, his skills were not being utilized fully with them running the ball so much.

Was asked to resign by Bill Musick and the board.

I told you all that fairview was better than people thought. Fairview vs. Raceland should be a great game roy and messer two of the best players in eastern ky.

What's funny is fairview two best players Roy and Antwan Washington were transfers from WV and nobody saying anything lol good for you all maybe everyone settling down. Congrats to fairview
10-03-2014, 03:31 PM
Thats because they were there before hs or have atleast been there awhile. Transfering is aprt of the game these days, but when things were as they WERE, people begin to talk. Now, back to my original thoughts...
I am very glad to see Roy getting this attention. Imo, he showed alot of potential in the passing game i years past. He has always had a good arm and good technique. Now he is polished and getting to use his abilities. I like how Fred Ray seems to have 100% control over the program. Roy has d1 size and potential, glad to see a kid finally get to flourish.

Nothing unusual about their best players being from out of state, since about the 2004 season their best player has been from out of town, starting with Chris Jennings.

You must not know the Roys personally .ive known the Roys since Alex's dad Chancie was 3 yrs old . Alex was born , & raised in Westwood as was his dad , & all of his aunts , uncles , cousins , & grand parents from his dads side of the family . Alex is 100% a Westwood kid. Due to Alex's mothers religous belief he went to Holy Family in Ashland as far as he could go then came to Fairview . Yes Alex played football in a youth league for his grandfather in WVA , where his grandfather lives. Alex from the time he was a little kid always said he wanted to play football at Fairview like his dad did , & so many of his family members also played. Just a short list of the family tradition of Alex's whose played at Fairview . His father Chancie starting QB in the early 90s , Uncle Glen QB in the early 80s , cousin Beau Barber QB mid 2000's , cousin Cody Campbell starting Ol during Alex's Frosh year in 2012 , cousin Isaac Campbell current frosh , cousins Jamie , & Scott Barber late 80s , & the list just goes on , oh his little brother is the current starting qb for the 6th grade team. My point is Alex is Westwood through , & through. I can personally attest to the fact that they still have their residence here in Westwood. Pisses me when someone tries to say he is from WVA , & that he isnt from Westwood . The ones that say that apparently really dont know the Roys on a personal level . Look at the plates on his parents car , they are Kentucky plates . Yes the car Alex drives has WVA plates because his grand father who lives in WVA owns that car . Alex has shown he is loyal to Fairview because when all the talent jumped ship he stayed , & never even considered it an option to leave .

As much as my destain runs for Fairview in general, especially the Administration, both academically and atheletically, I commend those that stayed the course. Knowing full well they may take some lumps and have a few years before they could get back on track. Imo, its because of that handful of players, that Fairview has rebounded like they have. Hats off to Coach Ray and his ability to keep his kids focused on the PRESENT and not what has went on the last few years.

Coach Ray is a good guy but sounds like you going little over board there.

How so? Never said anything other than he has done a good job keeping the kids focused on the season at hand.
