Score was 14-9. Looks like Western was 9-0 coming into this game. Washington Co was 5-4.

Might be bad timing for the rest of us in 2A!

Nah. Just means that some of those powerhouses out west are not invincible.

Western was ranked 2nd behind Merger county at 9-0, had the highest ranked offense in 2A, number one ranked scoring leader-Justin Collins averaging 19.8 points a game. 9th ranked scoring team ,just ahead of Russell, second ranked rushing attack in the state with 3811 yards, averaging 423.4 a game.

In the mud and rain anything can happen. Western couldn't utilize their speed in the mud. Happens to the best of them. Ask Lex.cath and Boyle when 4 seed Bourbon who couldnt play them within 40 points on a dry field in the reg.season, Got upset by them in the rain and mud in the playoffs in 97. Better now for Western than playoffs. I still see a Mercer-Western regional. Bad weather, Mud, Rain, bad field conditions...........People get upset. Hell of a win for Washington, Still say Western could be on the carpet.

Western may have lost but it may have been a good time for a loss. Whether the weather had a part in it or not it was right before the playoffs so I would want to lose then and not in the playoffs.
