This team is so great, they will beat themselves by 25.
#6
I don't see 40-0, but I do see a dang good team
#7
This team would beat the '96 team 100 times out of 100!
#8
UCLA could include Alcindor and Walton on the same all-star UCLA team and the 2014-15 CATS will CRUSH them!

My Projected starters for the 2014/2015 season
Sophomore: Aaron Harrison - Guard
Sophomore: Andrew Harrison - Guard
Junior: Alex Poythress - Forward
Junior: Willie Cauley-Stein - Forward/Center
Sophomore: Dakari Johnson - Center

Bench
Sophomore: Marcus Lee - Forward
Freshman: Trey Lyles - Forward
Freshman: Karl Towns, JR. - Center
Freshman: Devin Booker - Guard
Freshman: Tyler Ulis - Guard
Senior: Sam Malone - Guard
Senior: Tod Lanter - Guard
Senior: Brian Long - Guard
Sophomore: Dominique Hawkins - Guard
Sophomore: EJ Floreal - Guard
Sophomore: Derek Willis - Forward

Going by this.... it looks like we will be 10-11 players deep. I don't think their is another team in the country that can go three deep at the Center position.

I do forsee maybe one or two players transferring....

Stacey Poole and Darnell Dodson were big recruits that didn't get the playing time they expected to. Coach Cal has worked miracles before, but he's never had this much incoming and returning talent on a UK team.

Pulp, not sure you know who these guys are that are coming in, but Karl Towns is the best player in the nation. It's not even a consideration, Karl is the starting PF! As for the three, Trey Lyles is considered the most athletic player that Cal has ever recruited, and that is just amazing to consider! I see two Frosh in the starting line-up, and bring in experience from the bench! That is Cal's history and I see that repeated! Alex will be the first guy off the bench. Willy was already supplanted by Dakari, and that is likely to be the case next year. Lee will get playing time as a four. Booker is the best shooter in college basketball, and he has not even stepped onto the court yet. Tyler gives this team explosive aggression and will bring a pace that Cal always pushes from these guys!

I love your thoughts Dusty....... Bring experience off the bench.

Think of the situational line ups....

Speed/Shooting: Andrew (PG) Aaron (SG), Ulis (PG), Booker (SG)

Length/Physical: Dakari ©, Cauley-Stein ©, Towns, Jr. ©, Lee (PF), Poythress (SF), Lyles (PF)

For real.... You could take these ten names, put them in a hat..... Pull five names out and let that be your starting line up.

Our starters are gonna create some distance against the better teams on our schedule, but our bench is gonna be the difference. There's not another team in the nation that go as deep as we can at every position... and maintain the talent level as our starters. #WeWillBeatYourTeam

It is good that Alex will get the chance to start. He will also have competition in practice which will make him even better.

All of this makes me think...

Could we possibly see 8 players in the NBA draft next year from this team?

Lets say by chance they win it all and even go 40-0, does Cal jet to the NBA?

Food for thought...
