Thanks Truth:Thumbs:
Looks like the makings of a great tourny.
#6
Looks good strikeout. Thanks.
Glad to see CC back in it. Hope they represent well.

#7
Solid field!
#8
Why only 1 15th region team?

MR. Slate Wrote:Why only 1 15th region team?

My question as well, and that 1 team is at the edge of the coverage area.

I would say the 15th is on the verge of not being in it at all.

In order to get in there is an application process first. Some just don't apply.

this should be a great tournament hopefully clay and knox will be in different brackets
#12
^ they will be... But 2 54th district teams will have to be in the same bracket.

Looks like its just another thing that Clay has owned.
#14
Gotta apply for it.
Applicants are discussed by the committee.
WYMT sends out contracts and then the teams turn down or accept.
A lot of the 15th Region teams don't want to touch the WYMT Classic because it's close to 15th Region All-A.

Some teams even make up their own stipulations. One team said that they reserved the right to decline invitation based on what other teams were invited to the tournament.
#15
I look for this to be a great tourney, and look forward to seeing the great talent that these teams offer.
#16
It's definitely gonna be a good one.

The 54th District has won back to back titles and have a good shot to bring it home again.
#17
Can't believe they took Harlan Co. They weren't very good last year and will be about he same next season.

I think Harlan Co will be a tough out next year :pondering:

I don't see it. They weren't very good and didn't see much with their jv either. They missed their chance with a good team in 12-13 season.

It may have something to do with Harlan County given perry central a better game than bell county....just saying.

Harlan County's JV team was 13-3, including wins over Perry Central and Clay County. They did lose to Bell County and played awful, if that's the game you saw.

Harlan County only loses one senior and did split with Bell last year in varsity. They had two freshman starting on varsity who didn't play JV. They will have more good chances the next few years.
#22
Go Tigers!

I am not comparing them to Bell. I just think that there are better teams in the 13th than HC maybe they want to make sure the 14th region teams win their first game.

And who would that be williamsburg Confusednicker:

Williamsburg has its best chance in years to make a long run, but they won't get as much respect as they should because of their schedule. They should add some bigger schools like Harlan County and Clay County, at least for one year.

Other than Knox and Clay, I don't know who in the 13th is clearly better than Harlan County at this point.

Hey i agree about Harlan County. :worthy:

This field looks really good as always.

I think that Williamsburg will better than Harlan County.
#29
I'd say it would be really close. Harlan County was better most of last year but Williamsburg looked good at full strength with Griffith back.
Williamsburg loses two starters and Harlan County loses one, but I'm pretty sure HCHS had a better bench and junior varsity group. I had Harlan County fifth and Williamsburg sixth in my 2015 rankings.

I would like to see the WYMT classic to try and get 1 or 2 teams out of the area to come in and play just to give it more competition.
