North Laurel 7 Tates Creek 6 This was an errorfest, defensively and on the bases. All you can say is at least they got to be on the field.

Lawrence County 9 Jenkins 4. Jenkins started out early hitting the ball. After the 1st inning the Bulldogs settled down and played some decent ball. Pitching looked good for LC and the defensive made a few mental mistakes but I think that will change with a little more time on the field. LC looked good at the plate with 4 different kids rattling the fence. Jenkins pitcher looked to have a little bit of a control issue but she should be fine. LC opens up next Saturday with 16th region powerhouses Ashland and Greenup County.

Hey Hotshot , I don't know if you were their but my contact at the game gave me the play by play and said after 7 the Cavs were up . He said both teams looked decent , pitching for LC was good but he said Jenkins hit all 4 of them . He said the Estevez kid gave up 3 hits . He said both in fields were shaky but the out fielders for both teams made several mistakes . It's early still and they both will get better . He said the Cavs short stop has changed there roster says the Boggs kid is a senior does anyone know if she is playing this year or is she hurt . LC will Have to bring their A game when they face my Blazers can't wait .

Its normally Ashland, Russell and Rowan in softball who are near the top of the 16th region and 63rd district should run through Russell. Greenup is usually in the hunt for a baseball regional championship though.

Heard the Skaggs girl had three wisdom teeth cut out. Don't know about the other starter.

South Laurel looked good against Somerset winning 9-0. Hagan Burns pitched 7 innings striking out 10 and only giving up 2 hits. They also never made an error. They were also missing 2 starters.
