I'm not sure about alot of other countys, I agree that Berryman from estill is a good shooter. I do know that there are a few people from powell that can shoot well that rarely get recognized such as Southwood, Johnson, Merriman, & Pelfrey. JMO

I have to agree with ur #1 Southwood of Powell is an excellent shooter who doesn't get any credit. He didn't get to play that much last season so he didn't get the credit that he deserves. He is an excellent shooter and I see his shot getting him more playing time this season for the pirates. JMO

Purest shooter in the 14th : Hicks from Hazard...hands down. He's a proven player and can hit the big shots while in pressure situations....his team did win the region last year....nuff said.

Exactly his team won the region. Hicks didn't win the region. During the regional tournament Hicks didn't do all that great. He is a good shooter but takes alot of illadvised shots and takes to many shots.

yea i have to agree with 3pointspecialist#10, chase southwood is a unbelievable shooter. IMO if chase southwood gets his chance on the floor people will recognize him and he will prove to the fans that he is one of the best if not the best shooter in the 14th region....

No one is giving thereself credit. The Southwood kid hasnt posted one thing about himself and Dennis put himself in the top ten in the region in shooting but thats because he is. so just worry about yourself and go talk about baseball baseballking!!!!:moon:

Which tournament were you watching???? He was named MVP, had around 25 vs. Wolfe County, had a box and chaser on him the entire game vs. JBS (and his game is all-around; ask Clark about that steal at the end of the game from the help side), and hit some big time shots vs. Jackson City in the finals, especially that won from the corner when the score was tied 50-50 that put the Bulldogs in position to win. Ask the coaches who he played against how well he played!

Either off the dribble, in a catch and shoot situation, and with the game on the line. It doesn't matter. He is the most feared shooter in the 14th and maybe the best in the mountains.

hicks can shoot the lights out no question. but nobody needs to overlook Puckett from jenkins. I played ball with him over the summer and he really surprised me!

I agree Justin is a great 3 point shooter and a great player, but he had O'steen and Olinger last year. Just like anybody else, he has to have some help. He did a great job last year and lead Hazard to the Sweet Sixteen. But there are a lot of good teams out there this year and nobody can be looked over.
