Who's in and who's out?
#1
Everyone has made a mock draft of the districts, especially 3A and 4A, but we do not know for sure because no one knows who's in and who's out. So who is moving up and in turn moving down?

I don't see anybody moving from 3A to 4A.

In the west, you trade Tilghman, likely Boyle and LexCath for John Hardin, Collins, Warren Central amonst others and Highlands, Johnson Central in the East.

Maybe some 4A east teams that will want to play up in 5A bc the East is so wide open, but other than that, I don't see a lot of movement.

There were 4 teams that were 3A that are now 2A. (Webster Co, Monroe Co., Bath Co., West Carter) Will any play up to stay there?

Webster- No. They will be 2A, and in a district with Mayfield and Murray. While they are light years from being able to compete with them, they stand a CHANCE to compete with Ballard Memorial and possibly Todd County Central if they are thrown in that district. So, Webster, by staying in 2A has a chance to be in a 4 team district and be and auto playoff team or be in a 5 team and at least a chance. In 3A, they would be in a district with Tilghman, Ft. Campbell, Caldwell, Trigg and Union County. Three of which they are in a 3A district with now. No chance in 3A. Webster stays put.

Monroe- No. They will stick with 2A. They'll take their chances vs. DeSales, CAL, Green County and Glasgow more than they would being in a region with Paducah Tilghman and Ft. Campbell like they are now.

Bath County- No. I don't see why they would go 3A. 2A East seems to be one of the most wide open semi states that there is, especially in terms of making it to a region final. Of course, it all depends on where they get placed. B/c 2A east is going to be a cluster. Packed with all sorts of deals.

West Carter- Much like Bath. Plus Belfry. Enough Said.

I don't see much movement if any like some think. Doesn't add up. Road blocks in ever semi state for the most part. Teams better worry about their district and region first. Everybody wants a state title, but you better get to where you can compete for those before you start this title talk.

Is there any new information out there on anyone moving up or down? Things have been quiet. When is the deadline?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think things have been quiet b/c there isn't anybody talking about moving.

I just dont see many reasons why any 2A school would want to go 3A, or 3A to 4A.

All three of those classes, along with 5A and 6A has it's 'road blocks'.

I could see Highlands requesting a move up from 3a to 4a. Not many close district games for them in 3a, whereas 4a, they'd fit in a lot better. Holmes may opt to do the same for the same reasons.
