Knott County Central 2014
#1
With KCC graduating 12 seniors on 28 man roster things might be a little tough. 7 on Offense, and 5 on D. Not for 100% i cant remember right this instant. Also maybe 3-7 freshman coming in.

Pre season i predicted them to be 5-5, they ended up 4-6 which is not bad considering the last time this club put up 4 wins was around '96.
I predict 6-4 this season because Ihave faith in the new coach and his staff. but time will tell..We'll know soon enough but til then lets talk football!

Their coaching staff has the program going in the right direction. I think they will continue to improve not sure how that will translate into their final Win/Loss record, but I think they will give all they got and continue to get better fundamentally. Thier coaching staff and team really impressed me with how far they had come in a short amount of time last year. Keep the upward climb!

they have a great staff

They only return 2 offensive starters, an O-lineman and QB. On defense they return 2 DL, LB, and a safety. Losing both RBs is going to hurt but they are a running team and there's lots of people that could be carrying it this year. 6, 11, 22, 10 and they also have a transfer from Madison Southern, not sure but could also be a choice at RB. Losing all but 1 starting o-lineman will hurt. Losing leadership in the secondary will hurt as well. Returning their QB is a plus, he will have to make plays when the passing game is needed.

If these inexperienced OL get coached well, as I know they will, and linebackers along with secondary make improvements and find the right personnel it will be a good season for the Patriots.

I have not seen their 2014 schedule but if it is as weak as 2013 they should do just as good record wise.

They just got a big QB from Perry County over at Hindman Elementary. 6'3-215. That may help some.

I overheard one of the coaches at a basketball game saying they will have 5 seniors, 19 juniors, 13 sophomores and 6 or so freshman next year and they have around 37 in the weight room lifting. For that program, that are great numbers. It sounds like they are headed in a positive direction. Hope they have a good season to hopefully bring more kids into the program.

great numbers considering they had 27 players last year. but are the 37 in the weightroom lifting hard though is the thing?

I heard Cavanaugh Trent has a 2 - 3 star players coming in. Heard he made a deal with Rhodes.

2-9 unless they play Phelps and Jenkins twice.

They seem to be heading in the right direction but losing that many seniors/ starters/contributors it could be a rough year for the Patriots.

QB from Perry County is Cameron Jones.

With a returning QB, even if he doesn't get PT there with that size will be a big help if he can play multiple positions.

i know, right? Wrote:They seem to be heading in the right direction but losing that many seniors/ starters/contributors it could be a rough year for the Patriots.

True, but many of these reserves stepped up in a big Jenkins win where (because of suspension and injuries) 4 offense players and 6 defense starters were out.

the seniors that started were a good group but.. in the long run after a few beggining of the season hiccups they should better in game 4 than the previous years game 10.

Just giving you a hard time ballboy.

Football has to be the hardest sport there is to compete in. If you dont have numbers, its so hard to be successful. Everyone knows Knott is Basketball Crazy and probably dont care much about football. But you have to give those kids over there some credit because they are working out hard every day to help the KCC Program become better. They have a great coach over there and I know he works hard. I dont even know if all the basketball players over there played football that it would make a big difference. Well Justice would make a heck of QB. Hall at WR. Cornett and Christian at RB.

The jones kid is he gonna be a freshman next season? I thought he was just in the 7th grade.
I also dont think any of the football players play basketball or vice versa.
#28
I hate the fact they wear red primarily. Does this bother anybody else?
