Curious as to why this is at the Field House? Part of a tournament?

I am assuming it was to have been at Sheldon Clark but since the school/gym is out of service they moved it there. I thought I saw something that said the basketball team would play at Inez Middle School and the Willamson Field House.
Both teams are scheduled to play there in the Hatfield/McCoy shootout next month though I havent heard who they will be playing against.

I knew that their school had been out of service but wasn't sure as to where they were playing. Thanks for the info!

Anytime! Should be an interesting game. It will be a great test for Sheldon Clark and its good competition for Knott Central as well. I think it will help both teams when the postseason rolls around.

Game is being played in Williamson WV due to Sheldon Clark shutting down this year and they have to play their home games on a neutral court and this is one of those neutral court's...

They play Tug Valley in the HMSO.

Knott Central is a legitimate top 5-8 team in the state. SC just doesn't have the horses to keep up for 4 quarters and in large part, due to the difference in depth & size. It would be great if the Cards can stay within 13-17. Sheldon Clark does have one thing over KCC and that's the best coach in the state. Don't ever lay negative odds against Frankie Smith. Don't expect SC to back down either, because it's not in their DNA. The point guard Parsley lives for games like this and will go straight at Justice. Freshman Dylan James will not be intimidated, as he is on year 3 of his future Mr. bball resume.

For those of you who don't know anything about the Williamson Wolfpack and the Williamson Fieldhouse. The Fieldhouse is one of the most historic basketball sanctuaries in WV. It was home to the Wolfpack until consolidation closed the school, and is still one of the best places I've ever been to watch a basketball game.

All KCC in this one, too much experience and much tougher.
KCC 78-58
Parsley will compete (look for 20 plus) but I believe the young Cards will struggle.

Then coach king must be John wooden then. Because he out coached sc early and talent took over from there. Didn't understand sc's game plan. Only 8 points at the half. The best coach in the state should never have a team score only 8 PTs in a half should have been better prepared and give up 30+ to go with it. Mind boggling to say this and have these results!

Coaches can't make shots for the players... SC took good shots they just wouldn't fall...and Knot Co couldn't miss. Very talented team. Much bigger than SC.

Sounds like the players have to make shots as well. Ppl are quick to blame coaches when most of the time it's players that aren't getting it done. SC coach is a very good coach and trust me when I say he was prepared. Good coaches always are. No disrespect but KCC is WAY better than SC and the score tells the story.

I hate that Sheldon Clark is having to play some of their home games at the Fieldhouse... but at the same time, I am very pleased that the Williamson Fieldhouse will still be getting some semi-regular use. The 'Pack have been our rival's back in the day, but there is nowhere better for High School basketball.
For people not aware of this venue, legendary players such as "King" Kelly Coleman, Hal Greer, Jerry West and Earl Lloyd (first NBA drafted African American player) all played games in this building.
P.S. my apologies to the Knott Central and Sheldon Clark fans for hijacking the thread, I just got excited to see the Field house getting some use still.

If I am not mistaken, the Fieldhouse hosts an event each season called The Hatfield and McCoy shootout. Its kind of like the Farm Bureau Classic with many games in one day. I am hoping to go to it next month. I've never been there before and I love going in the older buildings that have so much history attached.

^ Knott will be at the field house for the Hatfield and McCoy shootout. They will play South Charleston.
