Cannot blame the refs for that loss. Hornets played very good defense, and their big man put on a show.

Since you're obviously wanting someone to argue the foul situation with you HawkDad, let me be the one to do so. Pike central needs to learn how to play defensive. They was way to sloppy. Not every loss can be blamed on a ref. Be an adult and except defeat.

Well I've played at Magoffin co before it was either a lose or a very tough win and this Magoffin team only has Pitts and an upcoming star in Russell, Blackburn from PC took Pitts to task the only time Pitts played good was when Blackburn wasn't out there and if Magoffin was a good team with as much foul trouble PC was in Magoffin should have won by double figures.

I know enough about their kind of basketball they couldn't win on the road and was it was almost impossible to win there, bad shooting, great shooting by them, or a lil bit of home cooking is pretty much Magoffin Co basketball as rumored esp at there place... And yea it was a good battle between the 2 but I would have to give the edge to Blackburn cause Pitts only was effective when Blackburn was out...

1972 why would anyone worry about your evaluation of talent, you had East ridge 2 in 15, pike central 5, and prestonsburg 7. Clearly, not credible. Blackburn is nice player but get him 3 feet or more from goal his is done. Pitts is clearly better player right now.

I am not for neither team, but Magoffin is pretty good,. Pitts is a nice player and the Russell kid can play game is over let it go.

1972 I think you are right about the outcome of the game if the fouls would have been closer. Foul trouble put Pike centrals better players on the bench watching and still leading at halftime by 1. I think they both are very good teams in the region. I would like to see them play at a neutral site and see the result then.

Blackburn couldn't guard Pitts. Blackburn isn't quick enough and doesn't have the smarts to deal with Pitts post moves. Yeah Blackburn can score a little because he's big enough and strong enough to go up with it when he gets the ball under the goal. As for basketball101 I'll have to disagree with Russell being much help. Sure he goes on a roll and hits some shots. But the bad thing about him is he's slow, forces to many shots and is way out of control most of the time. Magoffin has two other guards open most the time wide open. Lovely can strip the nets with threes as can Bolen who can also create his own shot off the dribble but they rarely get the chance with Russell trying to force a drive in that usually leads to a turnover

Like I said I am not for neither team . but I do think Magoffin has 5 good players as you said Bolen and Lovely that's why they won.
