With a Middlesboro team losing only 3 used seniors I expect big big things from them. A region championship and possibly even a run for the state title? Any comments? I see Middlesboro being a powerhouse football team next year after seeing the progress from this year. I feel like the kids have some unfinished business that needs to be settled

I was especially hard on the Jackets this year as I thought they were a bit over rated and pumped up....

... I will say with 100% certainty that Middlesboro will be a very, very good 2A team in 2014 though and should rightfully open the season flirting with at least a Top 5 ranking.

Middlesboro will definitely be a top 5 2a team next year but with the same schedule as they had this year I don't see an undefeated season. Now on the other hand I do think think every team on our schedule is very beatable. Its just that Middlesboro will be in very tough games such as Pikeville returns almost everyone but chase hall, Bell returns most of there team, Union who was a tough game this year except we have to go there. And as always everyone in the district is no slouch. As of right now I would probably favor us in every game but we still got a lot to prove before talking undefeated season.

I heard Super to them they should have won state championship. High expectations for a program in the shape it was in 4 years ago.

I do not think there will be a change this year, but I look for Frazier to leave after next year. Middlesboro wins 9 , district champs, and beats us (Bell) for first time in 15 years. Typical Middlesboro , they can not enjoy or handle any success, that is why they will never beat us again.

We will beat them at there place next year.

Middlesboro will be the favorite to win the district in 2014. I look form them and Prestonsburg to play in the regional final. Both should have great teams. I don't look for either to win a state championship, but that is why we play them.

There is more to it than just a "crazy" super. It was felt by some that the most talented team Middlesboro will have in a significant amount of time (this years team and next) will end up not reaching its full potential because a lack of discipline from the coaching staff.

Can't say I agree or disagree that's just the word on the street... I feel like Randy Frazier has done an above average job, but also feel like he was able to hide behind a VERY talented team some this year (like Union VA.) Games like Pikeville obviously showed a some what outcoached job on little things like special teams etc.

Its not that the community doesn't support, its just the fear of these little things costing a potential state title.

I have said this before Middlesboro / Prestonsburg should be in the finals with what they have coming back.

All the other stuff about the Coach is another example of that community, even on this board, thinking they were just a little better than they really were. Next year is your year, Jackets. 3 seniors playing on a team is not your year.

They have no idea how many players are out. They don't have a coach, they haven't had a meeting, spring practice isn't until May and very few players are lifting.
