I think when Pburg coach just went to the floor to sit on his butt was classless also. The officials had to talk to him about.

I heard the final on the radio this morning and was shocked.

Since you asked for Pburg perspective, here ya go. Greenup County was in the bonus with several minutes left in the first quarter. Greenup County bigs had no fouls until 2nd half. Just one example, GC center jumped to get an offensive rebound, landed on #10's back, knocked him to the ground...No call.. It was a poorly officiated game, that is a fact. Spears fouled out, Hall had four fouls, Frasure played maybe a quarter due to foul trouble and several others were in foul trouble early. Apparently our coach didn't do anything the refs felt was wrong, as no technical foul was assessed. As far as leaving before the game was over, the players on the bench were escorted to the locker room by the assistant coaches with seconds left in the game, the players in the game did not walk off the floor during the game. A technical foul was called when our players on the bench went to the locker room...One of the reasons was the Greenup County student section had their cell phones taking pictures and filming our players while trying to antagonize them to fight. The police had to ask some students to leave because they told the boys they would be waiting after the game, and they did. They were near the visitors locker room when the police told them to go. We asked if there were any school administration at the game and no one seemed to know. That's what I saw. I'm sure everyone has their opinion, but after the events that took place to call us classless is hypocritical. Prestonsburg needs to put this game behind them. With those refs and if they have homecourt advantage, Greenup may just win their region!

Sounds like a crazy game. I agree, put this game behind you and move on.
The bold part above: How can you give a technical to a team for going to the locer room? Any officials on here that can verify if this is a correct call. Doesn't sound correct to me.

I should clarify.. As they were going to the locker room, the ref blew the whistle and called a technical foul.. I honestly assumed that's why. When I said no technical was called on the coach, I was talking about earlier in the game when they said the ref talked to him about something. I agree, this game needs to be put behind us and focus on the positives. We looked pretty good against Russell and our numbers are better than I've seen in a long time, probably 30 or more kids. Great to see so many kids out wanting to play basketball!

That is great. They must not have the roster updated on KHSAA website. Last time I looked only had about 10.
