Detroit will be sending $30MM to Texas, tweets Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. With that cash, Texas will effectively be paying Fielder $138MM over seven years. From the Tigers' side of things, they'll have a total savings of $76MM.

I think the tigers made a good deal. Now they can move Cabrera to first. A little less chance of injury. Plus Fielder has not been all that good at the tigers.

Rangers get a power hitting lefty bat which they have needed since Hamilton left them.

So really it's a win win for both teams..
