Nasty.

Russell rebounds nicely with a blow out win over a normally strong Boyd Co. team. Congrats to the Red Devils in this one. When you all get stats from the game, can someone please post them?

Nice win Russell!
Welcome to the best site in town! If you need anything, just let me know.

Congrats Red devils on your win

Well here goes. I have to say that the Devils looked better prepared for this game than they were for the Ashland game. Russell controlled the ball. Took better care of it and the D stepped up tonight. Tyler Jones did an excellent job under center. After he came out, sophomore A.J.Cordle stepped in to take some snaps and we never missed a beat. Maybe FBALL or Devilologist will stop by and give their thoughts and input.

Russell looked like crap tonight, no intensity tonight, fumbles, fumbles, fumbles. Kasey was getting singled out on the wing-t carrys, defense was pushed back off the ball. The daggone middle of the defense fell apart, too many yards up the gut. The score does not indicate the playing of both teams. Boyd was inthis game every time they had the ball. Tyler Jones picks up a fumble and scores, Beekman has anINT on the 15 yard line or so. Sizemore has an INT on a big drive,.... You get the picture......
Russell on offense needs to improve if they are gonna compete in the playoffs, players need to step up and play with their heart, not because they are on the team. Harvey got triple teamed all night long and still was in on tackles. BEEKMAN is a maniac at linebacker. B-Team looked impressive- AJ Cordle #3 cam in when Tyler went out with cramps, scored twice on three drives. #38 looked good also tonight, along with #13 Drew Abrams, Abrams is the real deal boys and only a sophomore, He will have BIG numbers when we start playing district play.

Well Midee1, that should be enough for now, will give you guys stats when I get the paper in the morning. Dont forget to come out and support the Devils tomorrow in theJFL.......

I thought Russell Came out kind of flat again to be honest about it. Yes they won convincingly but to me it just kind of looked like they were going through the motions.

You can see the talent on this team. It is there. But they really need someone to step up and provide a spark. Clark leads with his play and is very emotional but they need more of a mean streak in the middle of that defense. They just appear to be too laid back. Big Seth needs to get MAD and just dominate. Ethan Gullett, show a nasty side. They need the heart of Michael, Drew Derrick and Tim back in the Middle of that defense. Midee knows what I mean. They need a bad attitude but in a good way.

Bryson Perry played well in the second half. He was all over the field on defense and I think just earned alot more playing time if he continues to show that kind of effort.

Offense looked a little better. Kasey is just Kasey. That was the worst case of grabbing facemask with the intention to hurt that I have seen in quite a while. How Kasey's head didn't come off with it I don't know. But Kasey just kept on trucking. I really thought that infraction deserved an ejection. I'm not sure about the stats. Well over 100 yards rushing with 3 TDs for Clark.

Tyler Jones threw some nice passes tonight but continues to shine on defense. Another fumble returned for a TD and just made a living in Boyd Co's backfield.

This game resemble a scrimmage. Russell was working on some things in the passing game and moving some people around. I thought Cordle looked pretty good at QB in the second half. Also Marcus Frazier had a good ball game. All in all it was OK I just think they need to forget that there supposed to win, play hard, have fun, and for God sake play with some more emotion.

Have you ever known me not to say what I think. It gets me in trouble sometimes. But I think its good to hear the truth and learn from it instead of just listening to people praise you all the time. This team CAN repeat. I really like their chances of doing just that. They just need to want it more instead of expecting it. Get that chip back on your shoulder.

That's the beauty of this site FBALL. You CAN voice your opinion and not get in trouble. Yes I know exactly what you mean. That group of seniors last year had ATTITUDE and confidence. Michael was kind of a cheerleader and morale booster. God I miss watching them boys play. It seems so odd to see 53 out on that field and know it's not him.:Sad04:

Spoke to a coach yesterday who watched the JFL and 6thgrade games, Says that there will be WHOLESALE changes for the next couple of weeks. Look for a more powerful back field with some younger kids getting time. Yea I know we are playing Morgan this week but they are always a good test for us and yes we do have trouble withthem. BUT they are hit hard by injuries right now and I would not rush my kids back into this one when there are other teams i nthe District I would need wins over.

Get it together linemen. Guards, stay low, pull straight down the line and explode on your opponent. Defensive linemen, get tough. Do not get driven out of your position.

pretty good game for the DEVILS would have liked to see alittle bit more aggressiveness on the line, but all and all good game. I believe we have not seen the real DEVILS come out and play yet, BUT when we do watch out!! Just remember the last 3 games have been tune-up games if you will, NOW it is time for the boys to come out and really play because now is the time that the games really count.

I dont think we will have any trouble in the district this year but the good thing is that the Ashland game gave us a chance to see where we need to change things up. It paid off a bit for the Boyd Co, Game

The only offensive line Kudo I would give out to this point would be to Ethan Gullett.
