Final @ Tilghman.

Tilghman kicker Miles Butler popped a 49 yard field goal, his second FG of the night.
#2
PT getting things together for district play.
#3
PT ready for the stretch run. Tough early schedule is playing dividends.
#4
Wow this was a impressive district win.. lets see if they can keep it together for a hard run at the playoffs.
#5
Just what I suspected. Here comes another patented state run for PT.

Amazing what can be done if you throw and run for the end zone instead of the sidelines and stop jumping offside 10 times a game. PT Likely will have home field for playoffs. With Butler back, they can score nearly at will from inside the 40. Not saying they are there yet, but this team could become a load in the playoffs. There might be better 3-5 teams out there but this one is turning around at the right time.

Tica, if you would look on the Belfry thread they have made quiet the proclamation. It seems there isn't a 1a or 2a team in the state that could beat them. Do you know of any?
#9
Desales and mayfield for starters. They both play 3 times the schedule belfry does.
#10
I'm not saying we would beat them, because I haven't seen them play this year. I would be willing to bet money though that our coaching staff would much rather be playing them then Fulton Co this week. It is just like McCracken, Graves, PT, Caldwell or Warren Central, we look at it as an opportunity to get better. But most times we win those types of games. I was talking to someone in the know the other day and we were talking about our chances next year against McCracken. The general thought is that we won't win that game next year because we will be young and they have a FREAK at qb. I said something about wondering if we would play them again after that since our two year contract would be up. They said they look for our head coach to make that a regular game. So be it if we take a loss, it makes us better. So Belfry fans, ask your coach to sign up. I'm sure we would travel.

^^^

Have your coaches put in a call. Belfry just picked up a bunch of new two year contracts this season so 2014 might be out of the question, but they will desperately need games for 2015. Belfry had to scramble to find quality opponents this year.

For the record that was one fans' opinion, I think the majority of Belfry fans don't necessarily feel that way. I personally think Mayfield could play with any team in Class A, AA, AAA, and AAAAA (except Bowling Green). AAAA is a different animal as I think Highlands, CovCath, Johnson Central, and Boyle County might be different animals... but I respect the heck out of the Mayfield program.

The logistics between Belfry/Mayfield makes it highly unlikely being a 6 hour trip and all...but it would be one heck of a game if it were scheduled. Belfry should be "up" for at least the next 4 years.

It would be neat though. I would like to have another quality opponent on the schedule and I like the he** out of yall's uniforms. So that is a win, win situation. I would hate the long drive though. But we have to travel 5 hours to Beechwood every other year. That could seriously be an option for both of us though.

It would be a lot of red on the field.
#13
I would like to see Highlands play Mayfield or Caldwell or McCracken or Henderson. All would be good games. Perhaps Highlands would win them all. But I doubt it.
#14
Maybe since PT got to play Highlands this year, Mayfield can sometime soon. Hopefully while my boy is still in school. I would just like to see how we could do against them. They are the elite and we want to be.
