Somerset has improved for 4 straight weeks. IMO they are ready to make a deep run into the play-offs. Hope the off week helped them heal and let them work on some things they need to work on. Somerset will beat Danville for the 6th straight time. 45-7 a Big Jumper Win.

Somerset looks to be gaining momentum at the right time. The clock will run in this game. 48-7

Jumpers have to stay focused and humble. Unfortunately they've played on both ends of the spectrum this season. I will say that the Danville game is Somersets biggest rivalry game o the year. All of the coaches on staff were either playing or coaching for SHS when Danville was in their prime, and it shows during the preparation week leading up to a Danville game, im told it gets somewhat heated during practice with disdain for the ads. I'm happy that the jumpers have been fortunate enough to be on the winning side of the last 7 contests, I just hope the anchor on the helmet is all it takes for the jumpers to come out and play with the same enthusiasm and focus that we've seen the last two ball games. Danville is dangerous enough to beat them, they've gotta come ready to play!

Danville and Jawan Grey are dangerous enough to win.....but they won't. Danville has some nice players in Ford, Grey and Ray but are rebuilding up front on both sides of the ball and in my opinion it all starts up front. If Somerset can contain the big plays they should win with ease.

I'm glad that these guys that have known nothing but absolute domination of Danville at the high school level feel the same hatred that I did for the anchor being on the receiving end when I played. If you ask me, the only thing keeping this from being one of the all time great rivalries in the state is the lack of enthusiasm on the fans' side for this matchup. Just seems like it's not as big of a deal to Somerset or Danville fans as it was 15 years ago. For me, there's not a regular season game I want to see us win more than the Danville game.

You and I took our fair share of beatings from Danville in the day Ro. I'm glad we're on the winning side of this now, but our guys have to come to play Friday for sure

Isn't it 6 in a row?
If so I hope you're just telling the future...
I'll take Somerset in this one 35-14.

You played a shell of what Danville once was, and threw a heck of a nice ball at the end of the first half a couple years ago against them I believe, looked like a pooch kick coming out

Somerset is hitting their stride just in time for district play.

Come on Admirals. Reach down and find that sole that you guys used to have and come out and shock the world. It just doesn't seem right in the football world for you all to be missing out every year.

They don't miss out every year. They make it back to play Somerset every year and for the past several years Somerset has owned them.

How many times did that happen prior to say 2005? That's my point. They have dropped off.

Somerset dropped off in the 90'S but before that Somerset and Danville had some epic clashes. Some of Somerset's greatest wins have come against Danville. I've heard many stories of our long time rivalry with the Admirals. Most notable was how before a game at Danville how Coach Ron Cain of Somerset gave such an emotional pre game speech that had brought tears to his eyes. Somerset on Coach Cain's direction was waiting for Danville to come out of their locker room, BEFORE the game even started! That my folks is and was a heated rivalry that has spanned many decades.

Danville....Schmanville...I got da Jumpers by 30 in a smackdown.

The Admirals will rise again, someday, hopefully. Knowing our luck it will be when they reclassify and they will end up in the same class as Mayfield. That would be just our luck.

I'm glad I'll be out of town Friday night. Downtown Somerset will sound like a war zone with all of the cannons going off. I expect it'll happen a lot that night. 42-13 Jumpers.

Having been on the wrong end of that cannon I hate it.

Does the winner of this game have the leg up on all the other 2a teams in the east or can someone kind of clue me in on who to look for out of the east? One minute is looks like Danville, next it looks like Middlesboro and then Somerset. It looks like NCC has completely dropped off the map. Someone clue me in over here.
