Glad to see the Engineers off to a good start. They will have to make some big
stops on defense and special teams will have to make a couple big plays to make
it close... Pulling for an Estill upset...

@ Powell County

Probably not until at least the second round of the playoffs, maybe even regional championship..

Nothing looks challenging for Bourbon on that schedule.

Estill co QB looks to be a one man wrecking crew. He beat Powell by himself

I don't see how Bourbon's schedule helps them. Like many have said they don't have a contest until the playoffs and then they run into a buzz saw like Belfry. I know 3A is rather weak but it looks like they would schedule a couple tough non district games. Play up if you have to. It's really not saying much when you go undefeated by playing a weak regular season schedule.

The horse is dead bro. Everyone knows Bourbon plays pulseless teams for the first 13 games of the season.

Maybe Hodge thinks his team would benefit more from the confidence of dominating other teams rather than playing a Scott Co. or JC and possibly getting dominated. Not sure the reasoning, but they sure were shell shocked for the first half of last year's Belfry game. I will say that this Bourbon team is much better on both sides of the ball, and that the Belfry game will be at home barring any major upset in the playoffs.

Question for Bourbon fans that's on here, has the Colonels started looking for opponents for 2014 or is this gonna be the same schedule? Some coaches have already started looking.

Already got Warren Central for next year. I hear

I'm pretty sure the schedule is set for two years. Bourbon will play Montgomery Co. in their bowl game and Warren Central in Boyle County's bowl game in 2014. I think Breathitt, Harrison and GRC are both on a two year contract. All of their remaining games are district games. Bourbon has rolled through the season so far. However, this is an upgrade from previous schedules. They have added the two 5A teams and a 6A team. If those teams improve the schedule will prove more difficult. I won't complain. I was around the staff when they reached out for games. I never realized how difficult it was for them to get games. I'm pretty sure they will venture further out in the state after these contracts finish. I thought the first three games of the season would be a bigger challenge. They have a solid team this year. The coaches really seem to push the pace and work ethic at practice. Can't make the schedule any better right now so I'll enjoy winning some games. It hasn't been that way forever around here.

If you have looked at Bourbon Co schedule they have already played 2- 5A teams and
1-4A team and have beaten them handily. Their last game of the regular season is 6A GRC. Coach Hodge could not possibly have known that these teams would be down this year. He was not responsible for last years schedule, but he did try to get the Colonels some better competition this year.
