What has happened to all the posters on this site? We are in week 3 of high school football and I can scroll down to the bottom of page 1 and see 2 days of threads. Just last year I remember I would have to search 2-3 pages sometimes just to find a thread from the same day.

During high school football is also when we have set records for most members on the site at one time. What has happened???

I've said it before, Internet Social Media is dying. Numbers for all social media forum boards are way down all over, BGR has not been exempt from it either.

There have been stories galore how Facebook has transitioned to Twitter and Instagram. In our constantly changing technology, the outlets to express yourself will change with the tide.

Other forum boards are so desperate, they have even considered giving the Milk away for free with the Cow.....

I agree with Dusty though, its an ever changing world. Everyone moves on and everyone evolves. Facebook was once thought to be the ever lasting biggest thing the internet ever had. I personally never had a facebook, and now more and more people i know wither dont have one or never use it anymore, almost like its going to the side for the older generation.
You'll see the next big thing come and go, and this type of discussion board will also have its day.
However, to be honest, your not seeing as much discussion on here because mountain football is way down. The best thing to do is spread the word.

I still don't have a facebook account lol. I have never even done the twitter thing. I stay behind times with that stuff. I had just opened a myspace account right before it became extinct.

Well, you need to get a facebook account, and so does Gut!!

I'm sure Dusty and Gut are correct about the "changing of times" being responsible for the reduction in the amount of posters. However, it just occurs to me that the all time record of posters was set only a year ago...September of 2012.

It's something I hate seeing, but what Gut and Dust are saying is true. We need to think of ideas to get members more interested in the site. (Not handing out free milk.. lol) But maybe like how QQ changed all the Stars, Banners, and such. Because I remember when he did that everyone began posting like crazy because they wanted to have those stars or banners.

I don't know though, I love this site and have been here a long time and want to see it continue to grow!

I joined in September of 2012, but I went through a long spell of not getting on this site because I was on twitter so much.

Twitter you can do anything you can on this forums (Talk with UK fans, get UK news, ect) and it kinda kills out forums like this. However, I decided to start posting again here because I knew how awesome you guys were.

But anyways, trying to put the site out there and advertising it some would be a good idea. Many people out there don't even know sites like this exist for free.. I didn't until I found this.

^ That's spot on NKY. For more our more "experienced" users (meaning were OLD), this is a great forum to post. But as M'boro stated, the 18-24 males have transitioned to Twitter. They don't come back. Just look at the bottom of the homepage and look at the Birthday ages. When you click on those members that fall in the above age bucket, they have posted very little over the past year.

It's also a sign of change in communication preference. Today, our younger generation does not carry interpersonal "CONVERSATIONS", they text and tweet with acronyms so they can save keystrokes

b/c: Twitter shorthand for "because."
B: Twitter shorthand for "be."
b4: Twitter shorthand for "before."
cre8: Often seen on Twitter, it means "create."
F2F: An acronym used on Twitter that means "face to face."
fab: A shortened version of “fabulous” frequently used on Twitter.

I also think that you see a lot of people vanish when baby boy or sissy graduates. The only reason they were here to begin with was to see what people where saying about their baby or they were playing up their baby. They could care less once they are gone.
