With about 6 minutes left in the game, Paintsville is up by 40 (46-6). A lot of the reserves have been getting action from about the start of the Second Half. When someone gets the final please post it. This comes as no suprise, but I'm sure a few of you on here are.

On a side note, not saying this game was a measurement to the Tigers improvement but I think they're starting to play better. We'll know in two weeks, when they travel to P-burg. I seen some hard hitting going on, and that always brings a smile to my face. AC also had some players leave the game with injuries, and I was wondering if there was any updates on these guys. I hate to see any player go down, as injuries are never a good thing. It also hurts the team morale, so I wish them a speedy recovery and AC the best of luck the rest of the season.

Brett Sheperd (50) is out for a few weeks with torn ligaments/tendons in his foot. Freshmen Hunter Crowder (82) started at the guard position in AC's first 2 games, he has moved over to replace Brett at tackle and Freshmen Miles Hamilton (51) will be starting at guard this week.

sounds like a young line

Junior Wes Crager has a bruised knee and hasn't been practicing this week. Sophomore James Greer left the game but is fine and has practiced both days this week. Senior Keith Duncan has been out of practice both days.

BB, did the team look good or was it who they was playing made them look better? AC is no Fairview, that is all I'm trying to say about that. I sure hope they are playing better. I remember back in 2001, the year the Tigers went to the State-Semis, they started out 2-2, then turned on a switch and no one stopped them until they got up north to take on NCC, the team that returned just about every starter from their State Runner-Up team a year before. Maybe this team will kick it into high gear soon. I say you are right about being able to actually being able to judge their progress the Prestonsburg game, hopefully the youth and inexperience has left, and they are becoming more mature at their positions and assignments.

The entire AC squad is young. Only 28 players and about 14 are Freshmen and 3 are Sophomores.

Like I said, AC isn't a measuring stick. I truly believe Paintsville was a better team than Fairview but shot themselves in the foot too many times to where there wasn't even a foot to stand on. Everything just seemed more fluid, the atmosphere was better the team seemed to be on the same page more. It could have been the competition, but anytime a team is on the same page it is a plus regardless of who they're playing. All I know is there were some hits laid, and that's my favorite part of the game:thumpsup:.

Oh I loved giving the big hit, I wasn't too concerned about the INT's, if it came I took it, but I was more concerned with chilling someones poop, trying to put fear in the guys i went up against early. I've heard that many thought Paintsville was the better team, but penalties and stupid mistakes killed them that game. I hope everything starts flowing better as a group for them.
