I think I would have Wayne County at #2 in 3A.
#3
Dont think Fairviews win over East Carter was good snough to have them at 4. Feel that bith Raceland's loss to 4A Ashland and Hazard's loss to Pikeville should have them both ahead of them and Wburg imo. 1, 2, and 3 are iron clad, 4, 5, and 6 i would have Pikeville, Raceland, Hazard. Williamsburg's loss to North Laurel especially by 17 pts tells me they arent auite up to potential yet.
#4
pikeville and hazard gave up over a 100pts.:Clap::Clap: and yes we did lose by 17pts. to a very good north laurel team that i will predict to go 9-1 in there district.defense wins the east and williamsburg defense is much better than pikeville and hazard :biglmao::biglmao::biglmao:
#5
Imo Raceland/Pikeville should be in a close run for 4th. But can understand the drop after not finishing the job last friday at Putnam. We will know a little more about Fairview this week against Lawrence County. If its a tight game, then Fairview is just about what we thought and Lawrence is better than we thought. If Lawrence hangs another 50 pts then they are legit and Fairviews defense shows its weak. If Fairview comes out and sominates the Lawrence was a flash in the frying pan and Fairview just had hickups against EC. We shall see.
#6
Is this the first Official Ranking ?
#7
^
There was one last week.
#8
Until NCC shows that they can stop the big play, I have CC over them. CC has big play capabilities every where.
#9
St X is still at 4? That is crazy.
#10

Dusty will have to give you an explanation on that one Confusednicker:

Says the guy who scored zero points on Hazard last time...

BTW Williamsburg nowhere close to 5th after blowout loss...(or before)...maybe not in Top 10. Williamsburg high powered offense scored a total of 14 points their last 2 games. They score a bunch vs. bad teams though.

All rankings seem to be on the money!!!! Go Bears!!!
#13
IMO 3A should look like this:
1. Belfry
2. Central
3. Bourbon County
4. Paducah Tilghman
5. Wayne County
6. Corbin
7. Bell Co
8. South Warren
9. Mason Co
10. Lawerence Co

Hey jetpilot yeah this is the same williamsburg team that put 36-0 on a team that beat you by 20 last year

In 2A, I believe that CAL is worthy of a top 10 spot. They are at least better than Ballard Memorial.

I would put Boyle County higher than 7 in 4A.

In 6A, I still think that St. X is #2, no lower than 3. I'm also wondering why Henry Clay is so high. I think that Ballard could be deserving of a top 10 spot as well.

6A

#2 Scott County has kicked off the season with two impressive victories over two top 20 6A schools. They are deserving of #2. PRP came in with very solid credentials and has exposed both teams they have played by a combined 73-21 margin. Scott Co & PRP will have a solid hold on #2 after next weeks match-up between the two.

St. X is no doubt at the same level as both. Two impressive wins over Ballard and Lex Cath has them right at the door of #2 and will deservedly claim that spot if they can beat arguably the #2 team in the state Bowling Green.

It's rankings, and in the overall scheme of things is completely subjective. Post reasons why St. X should be #2 based on more reasoning than what has been posted over the last two weeks that is based on any more facts than what we have seen so far.
#19
Boyle started the preseason at #4. Man I hope we don't keep winning or we'll drop out of the top ten all together.
#20
I am reserving my ranks until later even though I would love to see Lawrence Co higher up. Lets give it a few weeks and see how we compare to Fairview and Breathitt, but after seeing them in past two games and what I see at practice I guess LC will be moving up the ranks like a Justin Beiber hit single on the billboard charts.
#21
3A is going to be battle this year. I think Corbin will keep moving up the list. I think they are more around 5-6 right now. District seven is one of the toughest in the state. The only thing that keeps me from predicting Corbin winning it is they have Bell and Wayne on the road.

IMO Pulaski and North Laurel are both gonna keep climbing the ranks. Williamsburg will be ok they got beat by a VERY good NL team don't let that loss fool you.

Also pike got beat by raceland by 40 last year but my memory is foggy on how the rematch went in the playoffs…?

Sorry about that black and gold. That was a misprint on our part.
Due to the holiday, we were rushed to get the rankings in this week.

Boyle shouldnt have moved. Our apologies.
#24
No sweat. Just seemed odd. Collins still too high in my opinion but it's just my opinion. Unless they are much better than last year they still don't finish any higher than 6th on the eastern side of the 4a bracket.

If Belfry loses to Harlan County this week I fear the Pirates may never again garner another Top 10 vote in the AP Poll from the Harlan Daily Enterprise.

Corbin has to prove it on the field.

You have to go back to 2010 to find the last time Corbin beat a good team. They play one of the worst teams in the State next in Trimble County, a mediocre Danville, then a bad South Laurel.Their first test will come against Wayne County a month from now.

If Belfry doesn beat HC, the Harlan Daily Enterprise will never post another story about Belfry again and HDE's history will only go back to 2014 lol...
#29
3a looks good other than mason co been in the top ten. They just beat Boyd co by a couple touchdowns and Boyd co is very weak this year. I would move breathitt co up to 10
