Pikeville @ Paintsville 9/6
#1
Interesting to see what scheme Chirico will use vs Pikeville as they have some dangerous weapons. Hall is arguably the best back in the mountains and Estep has breakaway speed and Pugh is physical as they come. We are coming off a nice win vs Morgan with momentum and the Panthers host Hazard later tonight and could look past Paintsville after they dominated us last year. I think it's going to be closer than many think with our ball control slanted towards keeping the clock ticking.

Glad to see hopes high in Paintsville again...
#3
Sorry TB but Pikeville 56, Paintsville 20.
#4
Pikeville by 15. If they can score that many against Hazard they are very good.

I am happy to see Paintsville off to a good start and I hope they have a great season.

As for this one I want and predict a Pikeville victory.

I can not see Hall be stopped in this one and I expect Estep to have another monster game.

Prediction
Panthers 63-13.

Hopefully a good game for the tigers.

Paintsville has already suprised the eastern part of the state in their sudden improvement. They have alot of momentum and a huge amount of confidense right now. But Pikeville brings them back down to earth this week. Just too many weapons. Though it will be closer thsn many think, atleast for a half.

Pikeville 54
Paintsville 28

Panthers big.

Close for a half. But pikeville puts paintsville back in their place and wins big. 55-12

I am glad to see the program at Paintsville showing signs of life again after being on life support for some time....Pikeville/Paintsville used to be one of the premier rivalries in the state. I'd like to see that again.

Reality check time Jet. I know we do not match up at all but maybe we can keep the score down if we can win time of possession by many and keep it out of the Panther paws.
Great statement win last week vs Hazard one of the best/craziest games I've seen in a long time. Best to the Panthers and Tigers ! What an upset we have this Friday :notworthy

I think Morgan Co - a 3A school coming off a 8-3 (I think) season and losing no players - came to Paintsville expecting to run all over the Tigers. I would say that people forgot to tell the Tigers that was expected, but the very opposite happened. Nobody on here or anywhere else expected Chirico to win, except Chirico and his staff and his boys. If Pikeville comes in thinking the same thing as Morgan Co, it will be a lot closer game than those predicting a blowout. I'm not saying Paintsville won't be outmanned. What I am saying is that Paintsville has a fire and heart that we haven't seen in a long while and I like it! Good luck to the team and coach!

As much as I have respect to from Chirico ...and I feel that he will bring the Tiger Team up to what Brugh once had it ...

I have to go with Pikeville by 15 ....Do much Dynamite for The young Tigers to handle

Such a hater....Wink

If Paintsville can slow down the Panther ground game then the Tigers may keep it close in the 1st half but IMO weather or not that happens or not Pikeville will pull away in the 2nd half and win by 30.

Coach Chirico has the Tigers on the path to recovery, but I will be shocked if Pikeville does not beat Paintsville as badly as it wants tonight. It will take some time to repair the Tigers' football program and the Panthers are not in recovery mode. Still, it is great to see Paintsville's program on the road to respectability and I wish the team the best of luck tonight and for the rest of the season.
