Final from the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic at Corbin. Jacob Tate kicked a 19 yard field goal on 4th down in overtime for the Panthers. Knox Central is 2-0, Southwestern drops to 0-2.

Knox made a lot of silly plays. Way to many penalties. And turnovers.
Knox has a lot of stuff to fix. But it is fixable if they get thier heads out of thier butts. Coach Russell has got his work cut out for him.

This was by far not the best Knox has. Hell it's only the 2nd week of the season hardly any team is clicking just right yet. ( a few are but most aren't). Give them a week or two to get some stuff worked out first.

Back and forth game. Both teams got after each other. A little sloppy at times but you could not fault either teams effort. SW was huge up front offensively.

I agree, they will go through some growing pains, but Knox will be ready by the time district starts to win that all important #1 seed this year. I was glad to see them get the win last night, a loss could have been a big mental set-back.

Honestly, I am really surprised by this score. How did Southwestern Score? Their offense was so one dimensional when I watched them against Corbin (0 passing yards), I expected Knox to stack the box and shut them down. Hope I get a chance to see the film on this one.

SW offensive line was completely re-assigned last week. Did a much better job of blocking. SW threw several passes for a handful of completions. Still needs a couple of more ideas to get runners out into space (screens ?), but definitely a step in the right direction.

I was surprised to see the defense struggle more. Good job by linebackers. All of defensive line needs to play with Bama's intensity.

Southwestern play very good. They were make some good blocks. It was a very physical game on both sides of the ball.

Glad to see we have a fieldgoal kicker or who knows we all might still be there.

Knox fans talked crap all week.now u see how they are gonna struggle decent teams.they have no chance with the good teams

I realize in high school football, field goals are never certain, but a field goal attempt might have been a good option for SW on 4th and 9 in overtime to put some points on the board.
