How many big Morgan's varsity score.

Wow!
08-17-2013, 07:13 AM
Exactly what benefit does either team take from this?
08-17-2013, 07:54 AM
Who scheduled this?
08-17-2013, 08:00 AM
thats not even right...

Morgan County is classless. There's no excuse for this.

If this score is true shame on Morgan county coaching staff :boosign::boosign::ban::ban:

I wouldn't read too much into this one. Not sure the score is accurate as score was not kept this game. Morgan didn't run it up or do anything classless, Bracken subbed early and often throughout, and worked multiple kids at different positions, out of the 25-30 kids playing for bracken everyone was on the field in the first quarter. Everybody played a lot of snaps for the polar bears. The varsity kids only played a couple series on defense for BC. The bc skill kids actually played solid and threw the ball extremely well against the Morgan defense. I expect our bears to have another pretty good season in 1A.

How do you score 88 in a scrimmage with out running it up? As Fat Albert would say " no class."
08-17-2013, 09:39 AM
I don't buy it. :Shaking:
08-17-2013, 09:48 AM
Classless!!!!!! Play someone who will make you better, not someone that you can embarrass. Typical Morgan County football.
08-17-2013, 09:49 AM
hopefully it was 8-8 and he just put an extra 8,lol

Not buying it, I would venture to say morgan is probably a good 4-5 td's better than bracken. But I suspect some sandbagging somewhere and some over embellishing elsewhere. I love scrimmages, thank god football is back.

Shame on Morgan county coaches
08-17-2013, 11:30 AM
I heard this one was actually 48-20 MC on another site.
08-17-2013, 11:35 AM
^Sounds better.^
08-17-2013, 11:38 AM
Wouldnt bother me if it were 88-8.
Coach shouldnt have agreed tos chedule a team that would kill them.

Take a look at MC schedule this year and the past 2-3 years. Who couldn't win 8 or 9 games. The weak schedule shows when it is play off time.

People are putting way too much stock in the scores from scrimmages.

Bracken did not score 20 points and score WAS KEPT per quarter, then reset. All the scores Morgan had combined at the end of each quarter was 88 points. Bracken scored on a pass play and got a 2 pt conversion.
Now take into account Morgan's jv scored about 5 times and a freshman back had 3 of those td's. Are you supposed to tell a freshman not to try to score?
Morgan even sat their best player, Thornsberry didn't even play a play. Morgan's varsity got 2 full series and that was it. JV put the majority of points up, so should Morgan have told their jv players DO NOT TRY TO SCORE OR MAKE PLAYS???

Not buying what? seriously who cares if you buy it or not. Were you there?

Why even schedule it. Is that close distance to Morgan? Morgan has some great kids, but there coaches have a chip on their shoulder. Not very personable people. Scrimmage someone that makes you better, they think it makes them look good.
Expect more from youth leaders.

Why in the Hell keep score in a scrimmage anyway?
Unless somebody just needs their ego stroked.
"Oh yeah. We won that practice. "

Serious question for the Cougar fans on here:
What is your take on Morgan's choice for Non-District scheduling and scrimmages this season?
You have a prime opportunity to challenge Breathitt for a District Title and the One Seed which will allow you to avoid Belfry until you HOST them in the Regional Finals... whereas a 2 Seed means you have to go to the CAM in Round 2..
Do you think this schedule helps their chances to get the much easier path or has their soft schedule basically handicapped them? Even your "best" non-district game doesn't make sense as you may very well see Pike Central again in the First Round.

Well for the last 2 years they could not even get to a game with Belfry because The LC BULLDOGS took em out. This LC team this year is probably better then both of those years so.............???

That's part of my point. District 8 has been the superior District as it is and if I were Morgan I would be doing everything possible to get that 1 Seed so I host the 4th place team.
With a veteran team there is absolutely no reason that Morgan's schedule is softer this season than last season (at least they played Boyd County and MIddlesboro).. it is even crazier that they scrimmage a team like Bracken County which will not make them a better team in a game that they could essentially play any team they wanted without it reflecting on their record or their psyche.

They called them a middle school team!!!

No excuse for your comment either calling Morgan classless.
