Does Lebrons James and The Miami Heat 3peat??
#1
It doesn't seem like it was to long ago that many people questioned if Lebron would ever win a ring with Kobe still in the game and very promising youngsters (Rose, Durant, Westbrook, etc) revealing star level talent. And then "The Decision" happened and now its come to this. Can the King lead the Heat to a Three- peat? Jordan and Shaq were the last players to lead their teams to a three-peat. Kobe was right there beside Shaq, but played the same role as Pippen. As I like to call it "Robin to the Batman". James will do something that hasn't been seen in a little over a decade and if he was to win league mvp again something that hasn't been done since his Airness. In all fairness to Bryant his game resembles Jordan a lot more then James', but when it comes to dominating the game the King holds all the cards. So basically my question is, If they do three-peat, with Lebron playing the role as batman and wins season mvp does this put him right beside of Micheal Jordan looking to surpass who has been known as the greatest basketball player of all time?

Gonna be interesting to see what happens next season. Mike Miller being released by the Heat which doesn't effect them. Nets loading up, Clippers got Doc Rivers, CP3, D-Rose coming back. All the free agency that has taken place thus far. Hopefully next season is a very exciting one.

You really have to put them at the top of the food chain...

but the Pacers and the Spurs took them to a game seven and the Spurs even had them as close to elimination as you could possibly be without coming out on top.

They're definitely the favorites, but it's far from a lock.

Its an easy yes..

No. Wade has played to many games I'm not counting on him come playoff next year. The heat are still vulnerable to teams with true centers ( Indiana Brooklyn San Antonio andHouston ) the bulls get the last guy not named Lebron to win a MVP back in Derrick rose and the thunder get back Westbrook. The improvement of the clippers and rockets make things interesting as well. When it comes to one team vs the field I'm taking the field even if that one team does have Lebron James.

I think they get knocked off in the first round by fiesty 8 seed Cleveland... Okay, just kidding. Be really cool though. Actually I think the Cavs (if healthy) could get a 6 or 7.

Anyways, had the Heat not resigned Birdman I would say definitely no. I think they do, however, as of right now.

That's one thing as a heat fan that did concern me until I read some article about him taking the same path Bryant did. Germany has some type of treatment that does wonders for the knees. Bryant after having his knee worked on said it felt 110%. So if Wade comes in with two healthy knees I really don't see a reason for them not to 3peat. Even though the heat was took to two seven game series, I understood fully Wade was barley 75%. Especially in the Indy series. And we only seen glimpses of Chris Bosh. And I know everyone loves D.Rose but honestly they scare me the least when it comes to who contends with the heat in the east.

Just to add a little bit of worry to your life. Andrew Bynum had the same operation before PLAYING for the 76ers. It's not a 100 percent success and alot of experts actually question the overall benefits.

Yes, I believe they do.
No, this does not put them on the same tier as MJ because MJ retired twice in his prime. Had he not, the Bulls could have potentially won 8 straight or more. The Dreams, Rocket teams were good, but would not have defeated the Bulls. Jordan also shatters many more records and makes them untouchable. This is why imo he is the greatest ever and no one will ever challenge him for that title.
To the Kobe playing Robin to Shaq, I don't look at it that way. Before Kobe emerged as a superstar, while in LA, Shaq didn't lead that team anywhere. Hell, Kobe pushed Shaq out of LA, lol. Shaq was indeed the best player in the league at the time, but Kobe has had the greater career.
My only concerns with the Heat winning again is the health of Wade and how they will handle teams with size. The Pacers pushed them to seven without their best player the last few years. With Granger back, George turning into a superstar, Indiana will once again be a tough out. The Nets have the deepest team in the NBA and could very well win the East if they stay healthy. Going to be a wild year.
I personally wish my Lakers would just tank it, trade Nash and Gasol, don't tell Kobe to come back until Christmas time. Tank to get a lottery pick in the deepest draft in 10 years and have cap space to sign whoever wants to come. Would love to steal George from Indiana, but sadly he's restricted, and they will match any offer for him.

I don't think that they will. It's extremely hard to win to in a row like they did, but to win three in a row? That would really hard to do.

Look out for OKC. In my opinion, I think they are due a championship. And a healthy Westbrook could be scary.
#14
Also the Knicks.. The addition of Ron Artest, or Metta World Peace, makes them a championship caliber team.
#15
If the pacers doesnt knock them out then yeah the Heat win again. The Pacers is really the only team that scares me. They are young and have the length to do it.

Yes but it won't be easy. Bulls and net's could present problems especially with the return of d rose.

Pacers will be hungry next year and pose a serious threat for the Heat.I thought they gave them all they could handle a few times last post season.Let's see how healthy Wade is first when the season starts.

The Knicks are still a mess. They will not finish higher than a four seed. With the impending departure of Carmello, the Knicks will make a deal before the end of the season to trade him so they can get something in return!

Call me crazy but I'm favoring OKC..

If everyone stays healthy they should 3 peat! The Pacers are the only team that concern me at all!!

LOL. K! This aint last season and Reggie don't play for em'.

I think, and hope they do wint it again. The addition of Greg Oden (if he can stay healthy) and Micheal Beasley makes them tougher on the inside for sure. Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith both are saying that Dwayne Wade is going to be better than last year. Wade has said that he isn't where he wants to be yet but he is getting better and better everyday and that he will get stronger and stronger as the season goes on. I like Miami's chances as of right now.
#24
Yes, I think the Heat 3-peat.
#25
Right now they are the favorites and Lebron is one of the all time greats to ever play the game!
#26
Short answer...yes.
#27
Heat is favored but they are one injury away from falling back to the pack. Lot of games to be played for old bodies like Wade.
#28
They will 3 peat
#29
As it looks right now, they will have a decent shot at it.

I don't see the heat winning the East. Indiana has really gained some serious ground and their defense is sometimes frightening. I'm also waiting for Brooklyn and Detroit to really get things going. But you can't count this heat team out with the best player in the world and his strong supporting cast. Oden will have to become a serious factor off the bench for this heat team to three peat IMO.
