I am really looking forward to see what this new coaching staff can do at McCreary Central! They have a great opportunity to start the season off with a win and that will do wonders for the teams confidence. Then, they should be able to win their first home game as well to start the season 2-1. I would say they have a chance against Leslie Co but, I am not so sure that they win that game. I know 2-8 is a really bad year for most programs but, it would be an improvement and that's all you can ask for when you have a new coaching staff trying to turn around a program that has basically hit rock bottom.

The New Staff has done a lot of things right. Wt. Room open 3 times a day. I know Coach Galloway and Staff has been out talking to the Kids and Parents about Football. These are the things it takes to be successful. They are on their way. If this year they can win a few Games with the Middle School Group they have coming in next year it will be a real start in turning this thing around.

Clinton County is almost a guarantee win. Leslie County is very doubtful. Pineville lost a lot but will be very tough game. I know nothing about Casey County or Scott County.

The only team I could find in TN was Scott Highlanders. They went 1-9 last year. Not for sure if that's them or not. The only other Scott is Scotts Hill they went 2-8

You are correct. For some reason it's caled Scott High School instead of Scott County. I don't think McCreary Co will have any trouble beating them.

Their school system is Scott County Schools but their high school is Scott High, not Scott County like we all thought.

I don't how many games they will win. The key is competing and playing at the highest level they can. I think they will do that. I think they will compete and battle each game win or lose, they will put it all out there. Coach Galloway a decorated Army veteran will demand it!

It was a 7-6 game at half, Casey blew it open in the second half. Coach Marple is a good coach and Casey is a tough and gritty team to be sure. Casey has lost some very talented players, including Bolin who shredded McCreary in the second half last year. If McCreary plays good mistake free football they should be able to compete but it will be tough. Coach Marple gets the most out his players.

I agree, had Casey Co. been without Bolin McCreary Central would have won last year.

To Casey's credit they made good second half adjustments that opened up their running game. Casey is coached well and their staff get the most out of their kids. McCreary should compete but will have to bring their A game.

McCreary will have a hard time with Scott. Scott was a Soph. dominated team last year and they will have some very good incoming Fr. Fairview one of their feeder schools won Tenn. Middle School State Championship last season. They will be pretty good.

Yeah, they do play in a doozy of a District! I had honestly forgotten about that. I used to follow Alcoa fairly close because I had family friends that lived their who had kids going to school there. It may have also been because they have always been the whipping boy of the district but, ALOT of teams would be in the same position with the likes of Alcoa, CAK, and Kingston in their district. It also seems like I remember them beating Southwestern a few years back.

So I might have to respectfully retract my earlier statement. I will be interested to see how McCreary does against them but, it's definitely going to be a very tough task for the Raiders to win.

I still think that McCreary can get atleast 2 wins but those will probably come against Clinton Co and Pineville or Casey Co.
