I know there is a lot of speed returning this fall at many schools.
Who are the fastest RB/WRs, the fastest linemen and fastest QB's.
Give name, school and 40 times if available...let's see where the speed is!

Cam Cheuvront for us has to make the short list JD. Plays for Somerset, don't know exact 40 but I would guess he's somewhere in the 4.4-4.5 range. Placed first in the Class A 100m with a time of 10.99. Will Lange for Somerset is also a burner.

Just out of curiosity i checked the state track results from this spring and it looks like the somerset dual of Chevraunt and Lange may top the list for a tandem. Chevraunt won class A at 10.99. That time would win class 2A also and this includes Uk recruit Ryan Timmons 11.06 and Big recruit Damien Harris 11.17. His time would be third in 3A behind including James Quick. Lange ran 11.31 which was 6th in 1A and would have been forth in 2A Lange also ran 200 in 22.5 which would have same reults. Needless to say they both look like burners! There may not be a faster tandem in the state. Need to find out m ore about these two. Anybody know anything - football wise?

State track times are electronically timed, as were there times at Davidson and UK last summer... Since we're keeping it real.

You can't argue with the times at the state track meet. Sub 11 is flying. I believe the times at state were slow this year due to the wind.

kiante willianms from pleasure ridge park he plays linebacker and he runs a 4.5 forty. he is currently has the school record for 300 hurdles as well

The Perkins kid #1 from Wayne County is fast. He blistered Corbin for two long touchdowns and ran down a few of Central's fastest kids when they played.

How Fast is the Hatcher kid and the incoming Freshman Doan for Someset.

I was giving them a little rope (starting this thread) to let them hang themselves and then you go and show them the noose (the facts in your link).
Thanks ol' buddy!

I hear ya.. Cam and Will are both blazing fast. Two of the fastest in the state but 40 times are often very misleading..

Quinton Baker of Ashland will be a sophmore this season. I don't know what he does in the 40, but he did 10.98/100 back in April. I thought that was pretty good for a freshman.

Quinton is TB.

If the time is correct, it would have won the 100 in Class A and AA High School Track this year. Why didn't he run track??
06-03-2013, 11:25 AM
He did, Ashland is 5A. Not sure how track meets work though. We always knew he was gonna be fast. His dad is Al Baker. And his mom's family has alot speed in their gene pool too, but not much size. Quinton was blessed with all that speed and alot of his dad's size. Not huge but plenty of size for that speed.

I'm a Boyd County man myself, but I'll be going to some Ashland games to see Quinton play.

Baker did run sub 11 in a local meet back in spring. I saw the article in the Ashland Daily Independant. Kid can move.
06-03-2013, 12:19 PM
Well, he has this die hard lion willing to go watch Ashland games. I don't sway into tomcat country for just anything.

#9 Kody Thornsberry, Morgan county. All state honorable mention and District player of the year as a jr. Legit 4.5 40.

That Baker kid is legit, he has been lighting it up on the track since middle school and is getting a bit bigger too, saw him at the YMCA a week or two ago, gonna be a bear on the field for sure.

Quinton has alot of speed but I remember watching his dad run at the state track meet back in 1986. Al looked like a freak. He reminded me of Herschel Walker back in the day. Not sure what Al looked like as a Soph but unless he puts on a lot of muscle. A LOT of muscle.

Can't say for certainty but having seen them play I would guess they are somewhere in the 4.7-4.9 range(granted I haven't seen either since last season), with Doan being the faster of the two. They are both pretty quick for their size and Jordan is very shifty. Castle's passing ability will end up helping his running game more than anything. He was a true dual-threat in middle school.

King for Fairview is the fastest kid in the Ashland area. Already has numerous D1 offers. Baker is fast and strong but playing out of position in their offense.
