Letcher C. 13 Hazard 3
#1
Letcher pitched and hit well, Hazard couldn't do NOTHING right. Only bright spot was Olinger's home run!

I have to agree with this post.

You might also want to consider the fact that our seniors were gone to the Bahamas on senior trip (except for Olinger who chose not to go). This could have had a big impact on this game.

Whitaker and Stupart weren't there, muddy / wet playing conditions, and Hazard has a game with Williamsburg in the all "a" today with the winner going to Whitaker Bank Park -- so Conley didn't pitch. I would bet that he and Whitaker (if he's back from the Bahamas) will throw today.

Still this could boost the Cougars confidence. They need this win regardless who was there and who wasn't there.

Letcher played a very solid game. Think Hazard might have had 4-5 hits the entire game. Wouldn't take anything away from Letcher on this win.

Now that is a very classy comment. We need more comments like these on this site. Kudos to you Rollitover.

Didn't Letcher Central have to play on the muddy field also and wasn't it Hazards field.

I think Bryan Dean's Letcher Central Cougars win their 3rd region championship during his coaching stint. Dean can flat out coach baseball with the best of them. And he knows how to develop players, being a former college player for EKU.
