Good game here. North gets one in the top of the first, Corbiin ties it in the bottom, then sophomore catcher Ethan Maxey homers in the top of the second for North and that was all the offense. Junior Kevin Goins went the distance for Corbin and pitched very well, while North had 8th grader Weston Griebel go the first four, then finished with sophomore Zach Hurley, who was throwing rockets. Had six strikeouts in three innings, only allowed one base runner.
Corbin was better than I expected after losing Vorbeck from last year, made all the routine plays. With Clay's win over South, this region is getting more interesting by the day.
