I see more than two. You wait and see.

Was Breathitt added just this week, or has it been in there that long?

How about Harlan Co. W or L?

Either way. HC has home field advantage.

Sorry about that one. I overlooked HC. That one could go either way but I'll take the Bears at home.

Breathitt and LCC have been playing for the last few years. More than likely it was already on the schedule.

I would love to see that game.

Two easy ones to open schedule. Should help them build a little confidence.

Either way with Harlan County? Are you serious?
If they can play with Harlan County, they'll win the other nine.
I'd agree with 5-5.

PCC, Sheldon Clark, and Harlan Co. have got them all back from last year.....

I think RIUTG is right. 5-5
Nice start to the tenure. Teams like Sheldon Clark and Pike Central "can" compete will LCC, but Pike Co. Central has lost so much talent in the last couple years and Sheldon Clark is one more year away from being good IMO.
Breathitt in Week 10 is a winnable game IMO. I think they might struggle 1 year in the transition, especially with all that they lose.

Breathitt's record will not be as good as it has been over the past few years, but they will still be better than a majority of EKY teams in 3A. That being said, they were going to struggle anyway, no matter who coached them. The talent cycle is in a low point in 2013.

After looking at this schedule I think there is several games that are possible W's for LCC. We must get stronger and tougher to compete against teams like HC. If we could just be competetive against them that would be a improvement from recent years. I hope Holcomb can fire this bunch up and get some guys wanting to hit instead of being on the receiving end of hits all the time! We need alot of work on Off, Def and special teams. I dont think we practiced our kicking game much at all last year and that is something that really hurt us every game. Good Luck Cougars!!

Has there ever been a consistently strong team in Letcher County? I am not insulting anyone, just wondering what football tradition there was prior to the consolidation?

Fleming Neon was consistent over the years until the last 3-4 before consolidation. They won district I think in 2000, before loosing to Painstville in regional finals. As far as Whitesburg all I have to say is Doug Chandler and anyone who knows football in mountains knows Doug Chandler. Letcher never did have a football program until the last year before consolidation. I think if they had a team back in 80 and on they would be alright. So many kids missed out on football who went to Letcher.

I could see anything from 3-7 to 6-4 for the Cougars in the regular season IMHO.

Nobody going to buy into the story of Breathitt playing at Letcher with Holcomb? I'm sure that'll be interesting.
06-23-2013, 08:22 AM
I see anything from 3-7 to 7-3, Mike will turn this around, If the fans will give him time. Who does Letcher Central Scrimmage? When and what time?
06-23-2013, 01:52 PM
Perry will better than last year, I know they lost Pray and Beatty but defensivly they be better and their offensewill not relie on one person like last year. And Halcomb want make that big of a difference the last 2 years Perry played them they beat Breathitt.
07-08-2013, 05:43 AM
I agree with Run It Up The Gut, I see 2 wins, the first 2, LCC currently can't possibly compete with the rest of the schedule!
07-08-2013, 05:55 AM
Sorry, Letcher then known as Stuart Robinson played 11 man football from 1950 through 1954, prior to that they played 8 man football for several years in the late 1940's!
07-08-2013, 07:39 AM
I think we will do better than everyone thinks. These boys will win more games this year than the last two years combined. When we do crow is on the house for everyone.
