CBS wanted to televise the regular season finale between UK and Florida on Saturday March 9. The only problem: that was the day reserved for the PNC Bank Boys Sweet 16 Semifinals and Finals. UK worked with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association to make this happen, and as a result, the state tournament finals will be played on Sunday for the first time.
