James Quick commits to Louisville
#1
Just now at the start of the 4th quarter of the Army All American Bowl

Well heck, I would have much rather him went to Ohio State. Louisville is going to be TOUGH for years to come until Strong is gone.
#3
Glad he picked the Cards can't stand OSU.
#4
no surprise here, congrats Quick

Typically I wouldn't be as upset, as I like seeing in state kids stay in state to play. However, with Quick's commitment to Louisville it puts UK in worse position with 4 star Ohio WR Shelton Gibson. I think he was waiting to see where Quick was going as they were both graded out about the same & have about the same size & speed. I think we lose Gibson now to Ohio State.

Shouldnt went to Ohio State.
I dont know about the rest of you but whats up with kids wanting to stay home especially when there in state schools arent title contenders?
I would want to get away from home, explore the world and if i had my pick of colleges like Quick did, i would have went somewhere that would have been a contender year in and year out. Besides, Strong will not be there for four more years.

^ i agree with that, except in Quick's case. Look at what Louisville has coming back next year, they'll be a top 10 team with a realistic shot at the title. At Louisville, Quick will get a shot on the field, at Ohio State, he's not playing till junior year. I also don't think Strong is going anywhere. He turned down a lot of money and the SEC to stay

I think staying in Kentucky is a really good choice. It's about time the top players in the state stay home and play.

Very nice showing in the Army game! Like to see Stoops starting gettiing the cream of the crop in state every year.

I here he turned Tennessee down because they did'nt want one of his Assissant Coaches to come with him.

He stayed because he really likes Louisville. His daughters wanted him to stay and obviously had a deep appreciation of Jurich giving him his first head coaching job. And he is wanted and loved by the fans. Jurich was willing to pay the big bucks. Really, it's a good situation. Definitely stability without near the pressure of the SEC with as good as salary. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side and the history of U of L coaches looking for them isn't great.

Should have went to OSU

Naw..he should have gone to UK so he can say he plays in the SEC. Why would he want to play at U of L and catch passes from Teddy Bridewater? Confusednicker:
