Final
Terrible game for Collins. Marshall went out in the 3rd with an ankle injury. They host Trinity on Tuesday.

I knew Shelby beat Anderson early, but Collins still should have had enough talent to pull out the win without Dez, even on the road.

They should've, but they had a really bad night and Anderson played great. Collins couldn't get anything to fall and Anderson shot very well and played very tough D. I think if they play again Collins will win.

I was there for part of the 2nd quater and all the 2nd half. As I stated in an earlier thread a couple of weeks ago, Anderson was going to surprise some people and had the ability, if clicking on all cylinders, to do just what they did to Collins. The best team on the floor that night was Anderson, no question. Now that they know what they can do, I think they become even more dangerous. They played tough D all night and pushed Collins away from the basket making them take contested jump shots. There were a few decent looks for Collins that didn't go down, but just as many for Anderson as well. Matter of fact Anderson missed 3 or 4 point blank uncontested drives/layups in the 2nd half that 95% of the time go in, so they had some bounces go against them as well.
I know some thought Anderson had nothing after losing to Shelby Co several days ago, and that they would not be a factor. What those people didn't realize was that AC was up by 18 points and on the verge of a blowout before they experienced a complete collapse that even today is still kind of a mystery, but sometimes those things happen in a heated rivalry. I doubt very seriously it will/would happen again against them.
Though undersized, Anderson plays very physical and rebounds on both sides of the court, their guards get a lot of rebounds too. Even though undersized, they still score in the paint as well. I think everyone will see them as a factor in the 8th region now.
