Typical 14th region showing

^ yeah kinda like last year in the ihigh tourney...

Turnovers and very poor shooting performance killed the Commodores tonight.
Hats off to BB, I didnt think they would win but they played well start to finish. They got a little sloppy in the 4th but enough to hold on and win the game.

Being out of shape is what beat Perry, yeah they shot poorly and turned the ball over but you make those mistakes when your tongue is hanging out. Cornett could be a beast if he would just get in shape. Johnson had a nice game and he will get better as the season goes on. Not a good showing from Beverly. He forced his game early and picked up some fouls and was not a factor. Perry has a long way to go before their fans can get on here and talk smack about Knott and Hazard because right now Perry is not in the same league with those teams.

^^ Maybe bradc can tell us...

What is an ihigh tourney never heard of it? Did they win a free tshirt and a gift card to shilohs?
12-27-2012, 09:26 PM
It was the ihigh Fayette County Inv. They beat some good teams and beat Henry Clay in the finals.

^^ better than shilohs my friend. Each player got one item of there choice from the dollar menu at mcdonalds.

I remember that now, for the most part the mountain teams take a thumping down state

Knott Co also won a game at the state tourney and lost a close game in the 2nd game.

Didn't Shelby Valley win the state tournament a couple years ago. Last time I checked they are from the mountains. And I think Knott Central won this same tournament last year.

I have not missed a Perry Central game this year, and this is by far the worst they have played. But, give Brossart credit, they played well and deserved to win. Perry lacked energy and enthusiasm most of the game. I would like to know what percentage each team shot from the free throw line. Brossart - I would guess probably made about 18 of 21 more or less, and perry was probably about 9 for 20. I would love to know for sure if anyone could provide them.

PCC has not shot free throws well all year and I believe they are definitely out of shape. Was Spurlock coaching tonight?

Southeastern Kentucky schools have won two of the last eight state championships.

Congrats BB! PCC fans, don't panic! They'll be a dangerous team once Justin gets his feet wet.

And we have roughly 250,000 residents in the geographical area of southeastern Kentucky , that would be 1/16 of the people in the state, so if collectively over the last 8 years we are 1/4 I think we're doing pretty good if you think about the athlete availability compared with everywhere else. not to shabby

Dont be dogging East Ky teams about not winning down state. It has just took us a little longer to figure out this whole recruiting process. I see that teams in the mountains are getting this down to an art now so you city slickers better watch out for the mountain boys in the future.

Brossart is an outstanding program and has been for a while. They are solid, fundamentally, and physical. Anyone who thought PCC was going to roll in this one, knows nothing about basketball. Brossart would be in the top tier of any mountain region on a yearly basis. With that said, PCC will be fine once they get some experience playing together.

Congrats to Brossart on the win! Who would have known you would cause such a stir?
