KHSAA Scoreboard Stats

Erroneous Stats: I don't know who loads the stats for this website...but in many cases they are not accurate. Stats for rebounds, shooting percentage are being loaded to the benefit of some players and detrament of others. I really hope college scouts and sports writers don't reley on these numbers. This appears to be a way to mess good players over for obvious politics. People need to be watching this and hold those responsible accountable.

Well, schools are responsible for submitting the stats. They are then put in there by the KHSAA employees and uploaded to there website.
If there is an error, its because the school coach or book keeper made one.

I am not blaming the KHSAA employee....I know the problem lies at the school level. These coaches and book keepers need to know that fans are not stupid and we are watching what they are doing. These errors are too frequent and major to be anything but intentional and with malice. I started this thread to get the word out as to what is happening and try to get it stopped!!!! PEOPLE ARE SICK OF THE POLITICS!!!!! LET THE PLAYERS RECEIVE THE RECOGNITION THEY EARN!!!! Confused

I am the stats keeper for both the LCC boys and girls programs and take great pride in the correctness of each individual and team stat.

Volunteer at your school if you want them to improve. Not an easy job.

Some of us know who you are talking about that is doing this in the 13th. I guess it worked so well last year for a certain coach to help his daughter's stats, that he figures he got away with it and will try it again this year to help his favorites. Just know, you are being watched and if it continues, the choo choo train named "Trouble" is headed your way. Toot! Toot!

The Times Tribune and News Journal if im not mistaken, pays someone to keep stats at games, atleast they do in baseball. There stats usually always match up with whats on the KHSAA.

What differences are you seeing Wizzard?

I stated what I was seeing in my opening statement of this thread. I saw the same thing going on last year.....This is really getting old, and needs to stop. There were several times that the newspaper and radio stats did not match up to KHSAA website which you stated is loaded by the coach or book keeper. What is bad is coaches have the films to watch so there is no excuse for these kinds of errors. Films do not lie and you can watch them over and over till you get it right. Funny how what is on my film doesn't match theirs, and we aren't talking about being off by one or two shots or rebounds....we are talking several which proves it is not a simple mistake.....it's intentional!!!! Politics at it's best! Girls who are out there busting their butts to better themselves deserve to reap the rewards of their labor and not have some arrogant egotistical jerk take it away from them.:closed:

I am also a Book Keeper" and I can tell you this. EVERY Book Keeper that sits beside of me, as well as myself, ONLY keeps the scoring, possessions, fouls, time outs, free throws and in my case turnovers, for both teams. As far as assist, steals, deflections, rebounds and shot attempts. It's almost impossible. Pretty much all teams that keep up with this have a stat man that has some form of an electronic device keeping tabs on that stuff.

There is almost no way a Booker Keeper can accurately keep up with all of it.

Speaking of coaches, does anyone know who will be Whitley's coach next year. They still have a very good core coming back next season. I've heard a rumor (more than once) but it has not been substantiated. This is a big hire in the 13th region whoever they get, as it could decide a region championship or two.

A.) Because when it comes to actually talking about the game and or hires, especially Whitley County, I know my stuff.

Gut has been dead on about this entire situation.
Take it from someone whos around the team almost daily.
I really wonder how some of these others (lillianhidgeporkin) comes up with some of the ludacris stories they do.

I don't always agree with how runitupthegut says the things he does but he usually seems to be pretty close. Just wondering though who you have heard it will be, this hire is the biggest in the last few years in my opinion. If you can't or won't say a name can you drop a hint so I can see if it is who I am hearing.

Everybody knows what kind of offers shes getting. Hardly any. Shes a junior and you wont hear a lot about it until next year.
However, why are you so strung up on recruiting? Is Morris getting recruited by the best of the best? Because if so, it doesnt matter or effect the high school game. This is what everyone is trying to tell you. We could care less about who you "think" is the best player, at the end of the year, we'll see whos playing for a region title.
