Knott Central was 47 for 51 from the free throw line. That's some kind of shooting!

Great ballgame from two very good basketball teams.
12-20-2012, 11:12 PM
3rd Q was very big for Knott.. Josh Hollan picked up his 4th foul and went to the bench Knott pulled ahead... Took everything Hazard had just to get back in the game and tie it up in the 4th Q.

With what both teams had left in OT, Hazard should've won...Hall's dunk was nasty, Triplett got called for a flagrant on the play. I believe he undercut him on the way up. Momentum was all Hazard before that. You simply had to be there for this one. The tension between Hazard had cooled in recent years and well, I think it's back. These two are head and shoulders above everyone else right now. Perry will join with Johnson, good luck everyone else and to the people who called a big hazard win in the prediction thread I simply say peace be with you.

Great game. Justice is by far the best player in the region and he's just a soph. He's going to get a lot better before he leaves.

Hall was outstanding and stayed in foul trouble. He could've had a bigger game. VERY improved from last year.

Ekff this is for you or any other Hazard Bulldog, but who does Hazard play next week in Las Vegas? I haven't seen a bracket or anything for that
Just seen on twitter that Josh Hollan's ankle is broken. Ouch. Let's all say a prayer for this young man's speedy recovery so he can get back to the court.

Great game for both teams, but way to many fouls called !!!
12-21-2012, 12:03 AM
Seems normal for KCC to beat Hazard anymore.
12-21-2012, 12:15 AM
Good game to watch besides all of the freethrows !!! The flagrant foul on triplett was a joke just a joke hardly any contact on the play!!! KCC with 47 points from the line wow!! People wonder why when 14th region teams play at rupp they get beat all the time , bc the 14th region refs are a joke !!! JUst terrible !!!! Justice played a great game as well as hollan and thompson !! Hudson should of been in late in the game and was not , do not know why he just had 3 fouls!! Hope Hollan is not hurt to bad !!
12-21-2012, 12:27 AM
All 3 referees should be ashamed of themselves, sad thing is when you have NO CONSCIENCE, you have no shame!! Josh Hollans' injury is on them!!! A joke call on the flagrant foul, and no call on that one!!!
12-21-2012, 12:33 AM
very badly called game, and it wasnt consistent it would go for knott then hazard and so on, bad, bad bad calls both ways. the flagrant call was a joke of a call, there was more contact the previous 30 possesions trying to get the ball up the court, hazard hung off of them and held alot. the refs wore there blowers out. im a fan of both teams and thier sportsmanship made me proud to be a fan of both. this was a memorable game, from the first horn till the last..and i too wondered why hudson wasnt in the game at the end of the 1st half and the second. and where was the little boy from knott?
12-21-2012, 12:47 AM
Who called the game? 51 FTs is a ton of FTs. Both of these teams will have the chances to play several more times this season with the tourneys they are both in. Should be fun to watch.

I'll eat crow on this one but way too many fouls called. Let the kids play and keep the whistles silent every now and then. One good thing to look forward to the WYMT will not be in Hindman and the regional will not be in Hindman. Peace be among us . Brother Cecil.

Great game to watch besides all the fouls. Hazard was in the game the whole night and erased 13 point deficit of late and rimed out on hollan game winner. Saw hollans spill and they was sayin the same thing after the game. Hope he returns soon. Hollan is Hazards best player and deserves alot of credit with the performance he put on tonight.

Brian Cook, Brian Napier, and Scott Sandlin are the three that should be hanging their heads.
12-21-2012, 01:10 AM
I'm sorry. Holland uses the strategy of playing tons of kids and foul over and over and historically refs have had to let some go. "You can't call a foul everytime" is the thought process. You can read the lexington herald article on how the khsaa is trying to clean up the dirty play and I believe the refs called the game consistently tight. If keeping the game cleaner is the focus then we shouldn't judge them too hard. IMO it was over called, not as badly as others feel, but they called it tight all night and if they wouldn't have then we should have beef. That said, a game where both teams have foul trouble should favor Hazard as many admit has a deeper and more consistent bench. They just couldn't finish off a KCC team that currently (without chance little) only plays 6 comfortably and had 3 foul out.

I don't have anything to say about this except..
Hazard will beat Knott on a neutral floor.
Congrats Knott.
Mark this down anyway you want to.
Knott Central will NOT beat Hazard on a neutral floor.
I know Justice had 39 points.
But that's exactly what it took for them to overwhelm Hazard plus some short ended calls.
This will not turn out so hot for Knott the next game.
Pisses me off when a team gets done dirty like this. Look at the foul calls in the game geez.

Tough to find a neutral court around here.
12-21-2012, 01:17 AM
Olinger and Hudson with under 10 pts each lol...
Can't wait for the next match up, that's all I gotta say.
I will bet anyone on here any avatar, signature bet that Hazard goes deeper in regional tourney than Knott.
Who's got the gonads?
And don't be some poster who has no credibility please cause your going to look like an idiot.

I agree the foul calls were ridiculous at times. Had they swallowed the whistle more Knott would've finished Hazard off in the 4th. Just saying.

I don't know about how the Mtn Classic will unfold but these two should meet up in All-A for sure but I don't think they are scheduled again are they?

A neutral court would mean not at Hazard, and not at Knott.
Congrats on making the 14th fans look a lil' dumber today.
