* Bullitt East 88, Bowling Green 43: Bellarmine signee Rusty Troutman hit 4 of 6 three-point attempts and scored 29 points as the No. 2 Chargers (8-0) routed the No. 14 Purples (4-3).

Troutman scored 19 points in the first half, when the Chargers constantly pushed the pace and shot 66.7 percent (22 of 33) while building a 53-25 lead.

"(The Purples) tried to pressure us, but we just threw over the top of them," Troutman said. "They took too long to get into their press, and we were getting the ball out quickly. They took too long to get back, and we capitalized on it."

Troutman scored 11 points, including three threes, as the Chargers bolted to a 21-6 lead with 2:40 left in the first quarter. The margin reached 35 midway through the third quarter, starting the running-clock mercy rule.

Bullitt East shot 67.9 percent (36 of 53) for the game and had 21 assists, led by point guard Trey Rakes' eight.

"It talks about the type of guys we have that they're so unselfish and just out there to win," coach Troy Barr said.
