Shelby County gets their first win over Collins in boys or girls basketball
#2
Very ugly game, both teams struggled offensively, but it was exciting at the end. Aaliyah Wells had an off night for Collins and no one else could get going. Collins Freshman Michelle Roberts hit a 3 to tie it at 37 with 8 seconds left and Shelby County's Mackenzie Raizor drove down the floor and got fouled with 0.9 seconds left and hit the 2nd of 2 free throws. It didn't look like she got fouled from where I was sitting. Shelby County's size was just too much for Collins. They have 5 players that are 5'10-6'0 tall and Collins doesn't have much size down low.

Shelby County (4-3) - Hudgens 5, Martin 6, M. Raizor 13, S. Raizor 6, Simmons 6, Wiley 2.

Mackenzie Raizor's free throw with a half-second remaining gave Shelby County a 38-37 victory over host Collins in girls' high school basketball Friday night.
Michelle Roberts' three-pointer with eight seconds to go had lifted Collins into a 37-37 tie. Following a timeout, Shelby County got the ball to Raizor, who was fouled by Roberts on a layup attempt with 0.5 remaining. Raizor missed the first attempt but made the second to give the Lady Rockets (4-3) the victory over their county rivals.
Raizor led Shelby County with 13 points. Roberts and Aaliyah Wells each had 11 points for the Lady Titans (4-2).
