I was just behind the SV sidelines for one game. It was plenty long enough for me to see that Coach Saunders is a short timer in coaching. Absolutely classless!!!!!!! The days at screaming and yelling at kids on every play are over. He is the most negative coach that I have seen in a long time. I think the SV program needed some discipline but this guy is nuts!!!! Someone better inform him that it is summer, not late November!!! I will be surprised if he gets enough kids in the fall to have a blue-white scrimmage!!!! Just my first impression...any body else seen him coach????

A kid messed up on a play and the coach made fun of him because he was a B-ball player(not a smart thing to do at a school that has trouble getting B-ball players out for football in the first place). This guy is like Tom Searcy with PMS LOL!

Thats why shelby valley will never be any good at football because when someone yells at the players a little they all want to quit...

Okay, now to get back on track here, Shelby Valley won both of the games they played against pikeville. Yesterday they won 2-1 and today was 2-0. A few disputes between players held up the game today but it was all settled out on the field.

Making fun of a kid because he plays another sport and doesnt understand whats going on instead of taking the time to tell him what he did wrong and how to do it right (which is the purpose of practice) is just stupid and makes the coach look worse than the player who screwed up. By all means get your point across to the kid tell him he better get his rear in gear or youll run him till he is no longer tired or whatever, but be sure to teach him the right way. Coach Jackson wasnt happy with the teams performance yesterday but you didnt see him acting like that.

Yes I did forget that, Pikeville does have a pair of twins who need to control their attitudes. I mean nothing against them, they are good athletes, but actually saying something to an opposing teams coach is going a little too far.

A kid from SV started it with some unsportsmanlike play. However, the twins would have finished it if it wasn't stopped. They are two of the best looking athletes that this area has seen in a while. I don't know what they have been doing but they are as solid as rocks!!!

Saunders will have the boys ready to play and they will be ready. Things are a little different in the valley. They have hired a football man and he will have the program heade in the right direction and as seen it already is!

By the way if you ever knew anything of Saunders his teams are always well coached. If you do not like his style then that is your opinion but they knew that when they hired him

The Honakers started this dispute when they suddenly turned a touch game into, anyone who doesnt cath the ball gets pushed in the back, one of Valley's players fell on the sidelines, and Pikeville does this thing where they run to the ball and break, well when they ran over, one of them smacked the player who fell in the helmet, sounds really sportsmanlike of Pikeville, especially the first play after the fight when a Pikeville player asks a Valley reciever if he "is ready to die"

Valley looked pretty good. I felt Saunders had the boys ready and he was coaching his butt off. Always evaluating the players telling them good and bad. They should be much improved this yr.

Notice how I say dispute, not fight, Valley's tempers were flaring after their players started getting pushed to the ground or getting slapped when it's a touch game.

It's football, sure it's just passing league, but it's still football not powder puff and certainly not basketball.
btw...since when did fighting become the thing to do when things got rough??
Take Care of it on the field with your game.
